If it’s stupid and it works, it’s not stupid.
Tesla probably wouldn’t do it because it hurts their efforts to build more charging stations, but someone could make a purpose built Tesla/electric car range extender that would fit into half the space as that generator.

Will the Jackrabbits bring you gasoline then when you run out? Because you don’t drive an EV?
I'll stick with my diesel...800 mile range (Interstate miles) on a tankful...and it can be refilled in about 4 minutes at about 40,000 stations nationwide.

Makes sense. It’s like carrying a water filter in your backpack for when you aren’t around potable water faucets.

I doubt many people would be able to lift that battery to put it in the car..

Duh, All this guy needed to do was keep a horse in the trunk. When his Tesla ran out of juice just break out the horse, harness it to the front of the car and have it pull you to the nearest charging station. Or plan B just break out the horse, hop on and ride away, leaving the Tesla to fend for itself.

Somebody in our area has a lime green Tesla. Other than that, I see mostly red and blue
