CNN’s newsroom tried to downplay the impressive Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) July jobs report, and National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow wasn’t having any of it.
During Friday’s edition of CNN Newsroom, co-anchor Poppy Harlow kicked off a contentious interview with Kudlow with negative spin, asking Kudlow: “Does the slowdown worry you and the president?” Kudlow immediately slapped back at that idea: “I don’t know that there’s a slowdown. I mean, these jobs numbers will go up and down.”
Harlow interrupted Kudlow to strangely point out last month’s jobs numbers: “4.8 million jobs were added the prior month.” Kudlow responded: “I think the big story here is this survey was taken in the middle of July, July 12th to July 18th.” He continued: “That was the heart, that was the heart of the hotspot problem, where some states had to pull back in the southwest and so forth. Therefore, we didn’t get hurt near as much as many people feared.” A chyron for CNN’s spin-segment read: “1.8 million jobs added in July, but recovery is losing momentum."

I remember watching CNN back in the eighties and thought they were a pro Soviet Union network, and knew then they were a Democrat Party propaganda mouthpiece. I was a Democrat for many years, but even as a RAT I was always aware of the pro-Democrat bias in the media. At least then they tried to hide it. Today, it’s so obvious they make no effort to mask their ideology anymore.
Anybody with a name like “Poppy Harlow” should be making a real effort not to look ridiculous - taking on somebody like Larry Kudlow on economics probably isn’t the way to go.

Chyrons are one of MSM’s best weapons. Million of TV’s in public areas run with the sound off. Even FNC channels chyron is always filllled with rat talking points regardless of what is being said by the hosts.
Yeah but you have to be able to read for them to make any difference.

hmmmm, I think I remember that joke. It ends:

Now it is a pure contest of power with CNN, MSNBC, Wash. Post, NYT, etc, being propped up by Silicon Valley and corporate boycotts of their competitors. They don’t have to hide anymore because nobody believes they are objective anyway, a fact the ubiquity of the Internet has made clear to everyone, which as you point out they never were. So why bother pretending?
Now, we daily witness a cynical brute power play repeated everywhere in the major press. They say to us, we are going to selectively report so that our political interests are promoted, even outright lie, and there is nothing you can do to us.
They believe their megaphone is bigger than ours and they are going to beat us down until we eventually are swamped by masses of outraged imbeciles. They will outright advocate and legislate voter fraud, not only unapologetically but proudly and openly, and dare you to fight them. That is now the state of things, so we must fight.
And I want to read some Poopy Harlow comments why?
