Here's a fun version. Amazing Grace sung to the tune of Ghost Riders In The Sky.
Great version of a great song ... Thank you...

Cool. Thanks.
LOL! Wow. Cool version.
Strangely comforting!
I like how he sings, “An old cowpoke” instead of “an old cowboy”.
You have to experience the rendition sung in an Officer’s club at midnight acapella by a Spectre pilot many years ago. Pretty damm cool.
Gotta link?
Never recorded as far as I know. :)
Darn.
When Stan Jones brought this to the Sons of the Pioneers, Bob Nolan rejected it since its basically a reskinned When Johnny Comes Marching Home. Eventually, the record company left him no choice.
I gave all my 33rpm albums away around 20 years ago. Interestingly vinyl seems to be making a comeback.
One of them was “The Sons Of The Pioneers” and of course that song was on it. I had a couple of Burl Ives albums too but not that song.
Turned out to be a great recording.
Riders in the Sky (A Cowboy Legend)--Vaughn Monroe & His Orchestra (1949)
Note that the melody is almost the same as “When Johnny Comes Marching Home.”
Great. Now I’m going to be binge listening to Ghost Riders In The Sky all night. I hope I have enough beer. Does Uber Eats or Grub Hub deliver beer?
“Die Wilde Jagd,” a predecessor?
