I believe the reaction to this virus is a rather certain indication of a civilization - a nation I guess in this case really - fully in collapse and incapable of the perspective or courage necessary for it to continue. This could be a rough ride to the bottom.
COVID is real.
How it was handled was for the sole purpose of winning an election.
COVID-19 means COronaVIrusDisease 2019. It is, first things first, a DISEASE.
It is caused by a newly recognized virus, SARS-CoV-2. Given the fact that this virus has spread all over the world in five and a half months and infected probably 100 million or more people, it's reasonable to believe that SARS-CoV-2 has recently evolved, been created, or made the interspecies jump for some reason like filthy eating habits in China.
When this virus arrives at a location, around 20% of the people living there get infected in an incredibly short time. The virus is quite interesting in this regard.
Then, infections stop spreading - or at least, they stop spreading in epidemic fashion. Around 40%-60% of humans seem to have innate resistance to infection based on long-lived memory T-lymphocytes, perhaps from prior CoV infections.
But in places where 20% of the population get infected, most people do not develop disease.
It's wrong, now, to call the asymptomatic PCR+ people "COVID-19 cases", because they are not.

As Ontario, Canada prepares to open schools for children in September, Ontario’s Associate Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Barbara Yaffe warned against mass testing for the COVID-19 China coronavirus, saying it takes resources from other needed areas and does not “actually achieve anything.” Dr. Yaffe also said that in areas with low incidences of COVID infection, the rate for false positive test results is “almost half.”
Yaffe said testing should be reserved for suspected cases, people with symptoms and their contacts....
“You know, I think a lot of people think that testing is going to really solve the whole problem, and it isn’t. It’s one component of a response. If you test somebody today, uh, you only know if they’re infected today. And in fact if you’re testing in a population that doesn’t have very much COVID, you’ll get false positives almost half the time. That is the person actually doesn’t have COVID, they have something else, they may have nothing. Uh, so it will just complicate the picture.”...

I called it a ‘Panic Pandemic’ from the get-go.
The media were hyping it in much the same way they hyped winter cold snaps as ‘polar vortexes’ a few years before. (Gotta get people watching in order to sell that Viagra during the commercial breaks, you know)
So THIS time they got videos of people keeling over in the street in China and implied that if you even stepped outside your door, those little COVID thingies were going to attack.
People in my neighborhood STILL believe this malarkey and have kept themselves INSIDE their houses since about March 20!!!

The ACE2 receptor infection route is most interesting,and true of other coronaviri... including H1N1. Of note, and sure you know this... we still have RNA of the “Spanish” influenza in the flu vaccine formulae which was decided for 2020 in 2019 (for manufacturing, the valency, tri valent, inclusive of H1N1), and.... they got it wrong for 2020 (also a CDC functuib, but am fairly certain the China CDC team was harried in their work to say the least, and later, of course thrown out of China). I refuse to call this Covid-— because of the WHO reality(and because of MD friends who ID’d this as targeting the Taiwan island- Hong Kong first).
The HCQ/zinc/azythromycin is not a late treatment as currently understand it, but the zinc-o-phone nature of the MedCram youtubes (free from Dr. Sheulte) are enlightening. His clinical routine as a pulmonologist (seeing many patients with SARS-CoV 19) is very detailed and of interest for the prevention aspects for health professionals. But many aware people are taking this regimen.
Supplements (supplements to increase immunity- no guarantee,of course). To wit:
Quercitin (bioflavinoid) 600 mg 2x/day,
Vitamin D3 2500mg qd, and\
NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine,500mg 2x day the zincophone so called) &
Zinc 50 mg/day, along with building daily dose of Vit. C to 2 grams (take a few days to get to that dosing).
7-8 hours good sleep nightly.
