Pay off my 2006 Truck!!!
The ones making over $75000 got screwed hardest with UI as well. With Colorado max $618 and the enhanced unemployment of $600 per week, I was at about 45% of my former wages. Without it, about 23% of wages. $3600 per month expenses I cant now pay. Why are they basing on last years wages which for 50 million are much much lower now.
I’ll have to put mine towards a new computer. This one is 12 years old and can’t even load the newest OS. Plus, the version of Office I am using now won’t be supported come October, and the last MS Office update practically killed it.
Any money received will go to paying down mortgage.
I work part time at Sam’s.
After the first stimulus checks large screen TV’s were flying out the door.
A lot of this will end back in the campaign coffers of democrats.
Same here. I’m in Tennessee, have a 46 acre farm, an older 4 bedroom farmhouse, and mine are only $600 a year.
Fill my fuel tank, repair my generator, buy cement, construction screws and insulation. With what’s left pay toward my property taxes.
My taxes in NJ are less than that per month, but the high cost of groceries is eating up any savings from going out/shopping/driving less.
I’m still working; I can’t imagine how people are doing this without paychecks. Even the enhanced unemployment (on which recipients WILL pay income taxes) wouldn’t help much in NJ.
Debt.
I worked in sports entertainment. I was laid off within hours of our Governor announcing shutdown. Fortunately, I am at the end of my career and can slide into retirement long term. Short term, I am getting the $600//wk. I now have nearly $10,000 on a benefits card - that I can’t spend on anything but food pretty much. Can’t go anywhere else.
The $1200 would have help to soften the blow of the $6000 my wife and I had to pay to the IRS for our 2019 tax filing. We pay every year so it was no surprise. In hindsight; we probably should have filed separately so at least my wife would have qualified for the $1200 payment.
For the record; I am also behind enemy lines in the socialist state of NJ, where my property taxes have increased yet again. Two more years (max) of the 'golden handcuffs' and we are gone.
[[[[The New Yorkers are fleeing the city to get away from the rioters and the virus. The work at homers are realizing they dont have to live in a 100+ year old $5,000 a month closet sized apartment in the middle of a literal war zone anymore. They can do way better across the river.]]]]
I’m about 60 miles north of DeBlasio city. People fleeing NYC are buying houses up here with CASH and overbidding asking prices by as much as 20K or more. Total seller’s market. They are also driving up rents and will make it extremely unaffordable for the rest of us living here. You can sell but you have to then leave the area for points more affordable. Then of course they will continue to vote hard left. The city is being written off and totally destroyed by the lunatic mayor who has 18 months left in his term.
[[[Id like to have a little more 5.56 but the prices are making me wish Id ordered by February or so.]]]
Learn to handload my friend.
I hope to make a similar move as well. It's either going to be to North Idaho or Tennessee. I just need to convince my wife that the North Idaho winters are not all that bad ( I may have to embellish a bit).
Nice to hear that other like-minded people are moving to Idaho. I was concerned about too many west coast leftists fleeing California to infect Idaho and turning it into Colorado, so hopefully there are enough freedom-loving conservatives making a similar move to keep the scales tipped in our favor.
Delaware kind of sucks, but the taxes are low.
Go to some favorite restaurants that are struggling. Support your local small businesses. Support the casino workers by playing some blackjack!
Buy a few books, maybe an older computer refurbished with Linux, a few blank grimoires; hold the rest.
I live in South Carolina. My property taxes were a shade over $500 for the year.
My dog needs to get a growth removed from his backside.
