Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler’s progressive delusions seem to have gotten worse since he was tear-gassed while being at the riot as other rioters were trying to set fire to the federal courthouse.
Wheeler now wants to talk with the DHS about negotiating a “ceasefire” and the removal of increased federal law enforcement agents from Portland.
Commissioner @JoAnnPDX and I are calling for an immediate meeting with Department of Homeland Security leadership on the ground in Portland and with Acting Secretary @DHS_Wolf to discuss a cease-fire and the removal of heightened federal forces from Portland.

So, the man who let the anarchists get out of hand for the past 60 days, who has done nothing substantial to curtail their attacks on the federal courthouse and federal agents, seems to be negotiating the “war” on their behalf, seemingly asking the federal government to give in to the terrorism that has been going on for weeks by leaving.

Who ‘negotiates’ with a Fed agency? I don’t understand.
If you community pays taxes to the Fed, no negotiation is involved.
YOU pay....THEY serve and support your community. No ‘negotiation’ is involved.
It would be interesting to watch what would happen to Wheeler if he was chained to the fence surrounding the Federal courthouse. I suspect he would find out really fast just how much he is respected by his “friends” from antifa and BLM.
Four politicians who deserve a long vacation in Venezuela are the Governors of Washington and Oregon, and the Mayors of Seattle and Portland. Maybe throw in Seattle city council member Kshama Sawant. Her ranting and raving would surely drive the other four absolutely nuts.

Tell frightened citizens if they elect someone progressive's like the riots/pain/destruction will stop. It's the lie of the lunch room bully - yes for a short the bully gives a break- then he ups what you have to pay... Antifa, democrat mayors, the old USSR and assorted thugs have used tactic... for... for... forever.
He should check the other hand to see what it's full of...

More proof the the mayor is involved in an insurrection against the United States.
We know he coordinated being in the tear gas as a photo op. He waited until the rioters attacked the feds and then walked into it. You can see videos where the terrorists are throwing incendiaries in the background.
Nothing is stopping them from destroying the rest of the city. The Feds are only involved in protecting the Court House, and their ROE is almost passive. A real defense would set up a militarized perimeter with serious weaponry, allowed to be used. "Don't come within 100 yards unless on official business."
Sounds to me like he wants to negotiate a ceasefire with the Feds and have them leave rather than a ceasefire with the anarchists.
