The PC "not sees" say statues belong in museums, until they get their collective panties in a wad (HMM, wrong choice of words when dealing with this particular demographic?)and they say the very existence of Cenfederate statues anywhere upset their tender sensibilities. We've been to St Augustine, there's so much history there the city itself IS a museum

I’ve been there many times, and it is a beautiful, laid back city. You are dead-on, the city is a piece of living history. If only the damn college kids would quit grab-assing under the pier when I’m over on Anastasia Island, surf-fishing. *chuckle*

They are about reconciliation and coming together under one flag, one nation, as one people.

These men fought each other over ideas and once it was over walked across battlefields to shake each other’s hands and hug it out.

They then worked toward making a better America together
