That is a salient point.
Without God, there is no Truth.
Christ didn't say He spoke the truth, He claimed to be The Truth itself.
I have no data to back this up, but I would estimate that no more than 10% (and perhaps less than 5%) of Americans have a clear understanding of Biblical Truth.
Reminds me of Gen. ch. 18. Abraham talking with God and begging him not to destroy the righteous with the wicked in Sodom. Beginning at fifty righteous Abraham obtained a promise from God that the place would not be destroyed even down to ten righteous.
When the destroying angel told Lot to hurry and get away, he left with only four souls.
Bro, 10% might be pretty high these days. 5% might be pretty right on. Hard to gauge that though. If you live in SF you might think only .005% know the truth, if you live in smalltown, USA Alabama - you’d probably think 20%.
From the time my kids could speak they knew:
JESUS = GOD
John 1:1-5
They know it, seared it on their minds & hearts. My kindergartner had his first “argument” this year with a kid clearly from a broken home who disputed it. Then 2 or 3 more jumped in and “bullied” him over that statement. He was stunned/broken-hearted over it - but I told him to expect that. We still treat those people with love & respect, but they who refuse to see the truth will always outnumber us know do know it.
I was so proud of him, his faith is so strong.
If the time ever comes where they line us up to finish us off, I know my children will be right at my side.
