Every year I have a Medicare checkup. They always ask the same questions, to determine if I am cognizant, and if I am depressed. It is a complete waste of time, and I have told them that I have the testing routine memorized and well know how to cheat. I was ok with going in since I am retired, and my doctor gets paid, but wow, what a waste!
I have had clinical depression in the past lasting a few years. It is an awful disease and causes many issues. I know a one page questionnaire would not be sufficient to diagnose my depression.
At my checkup last month my doctor asked me if I had any anxiety. I told him, “Every time I put this damn mask on.” He was still laughing when he left the room.
You can refuse that test; we do.
