It's no wonder Colin Kaepernick is so screwed up

Kaepernick's biological mother, Heidi Russo, was 19 when ...

Colin Kaepernick has evolved. First it was "cops are pigs" and police abuse, and now he's moved on to bigger things.

On July 4 Kaepernick sent out a tweet that read in part:

Black ppl have been dehumanized, brutalized, criminalized + terrorized by America for centuries, & are expected to join your commemoration of “independence”, while you enslaved our ancestors. We reject your celebration of white supremacy & look forward to liberation for all.
"while you enslaved our ancestors"

Yeah, about that....

Black were enslaved by blacks in Africa long before the colonies. Blacks in the US at one time also owned slaves. There are more slaves today than were ever seized from Africa in four centuries. More whites were brought as slaves to North Africa than blacks to the US.

Thanks to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, you can buy a black man in Libya for $400.

Cue the outrage. I'll wait.

But back to Colin.

Kaepernick was born to a white woman, a 19 year old Heidi Russo. Being young and impoverished, she gave the baby up for adoption. She stayed in touch with her son's adoptive family but Kaepernick remains estranged from her. His biological father apparently didn't give a rip.

By all accounts Kaepernick's adoptive family has cared greatly for him and continues to support him.

In return, Kaepernick slams the country of the white people who raised him.

Kaepernick is taking advantage of the current riots and crisis. He’s saying and doing things that he wouldn’t ordinarily get away with.

Don’t let a crisis go to waste, and he’s making the most of it. When the dust settles, he’ll be back to being persona-non-grata, and an imbecile.

He may well have “issues”. His biological father is black, and his biological mother is white. His biological mother gave him up for adoption. He was adopted by a white family, and raised by that white family. But today he apparently identifies as a militant black man.

Does he perceive that he was abandoned by his biological parents? Does he feel the need to be radically militantly black, so he can be rebellious towards the family he was raised in?

There may be more than meets the eye with him.

I still wonder if some NFL team is going to sign him to a contract so this poster boy for the NFL kneeling for the anthem issue, can return in triumph to football. Stay tuned.

Mr. Kaepernick might benefit from mental health intervention.

If his adoptive family continues to support him, it sounds to me like they are approving of what he has done/is doing.

I could be wrong but they sound like enablers.

I guess when you fail in your dream to be a great quarterback you have to blame someone because it can’t be your fault.

He discovered he can earn more money by hating America, than he could playing ball. He’s a paid whore, nothing more.

Kaepernick is culturally mainstream. Call it what you want. He is not part of any marginalized community or marginalized ethnicity. You can’t separate race from culture without rendering it meaningless. He is culturally as mainstream as it gets. His problem is with Christianity, I suspect, and his war is with God.

No he was not. He had one good season and when I watched him play during his following seasons, IMO, he would miss throw the passes so the receivers could not catch them.

He had a pair of legs and could scramble though.

He was as good as a first year phenom pitcher is until the rest of the league figures him out.

Very brave of him to throw off the shackles of being raised by a group of white supremacists. /S

Perhaps Kaepernick is too stupid to realize that as a result of the American Revolution, what were once colonies became states and had to write state constitutions. Those constitutions were where northern states outlawed slavery making over half of the population slave free. It is also those states that later held ground and defeated the slave states making the entire country slave free.

Without the American Revolution, those colonies would have continued to allow slavery until the time when Great Britain outlawed it in their colonies, many years later, 1834. Yes Colin, you should celebrate the American Revolution, it was the beginning of the end for slavery in the United States.

“you enslaved our ancestors”

Colin definitely takes after his European ancestry in appearance.

My son, who is a sports fanatic of great intensity, said that Kaepernick was a decent quarterback who rab plays completely by the book. Zero imagination, no flexibility.

In his last season (four years ago), he ranked 29th among NFL quarterbacks for passing yardage, 23rd for overall productivity.

Wasnt even that. He never went over 63% completion average all his years. Never made a passer rating of over abt 95%.

He was a heck of a runner and that is what made him even slightly successful. He had over 600 yards rushing one year.

But he was a fumble bum also. Carried the ball like a loaf of bread.

Mentally he was a disaster and that is why the 9ers left him go. Disruption will destroy a team.

See where that team is now? They got rid of the main problem and rebuilt a heck of a team.
