Keep in mind that Trump fired Geoffrey Berman, the US Attorney for the SDNY, about two weeks ago, and between then and now, his replacement indicts Maxwell. My guess is that Berman was sitting on his hands to protect the deeps state and Trump/Barr said “enough.”
