Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., made the announcement in a statement, calling the woman's graduation from the Special Forces Qualification Course "an important and hard-earned milestone."

"This achievement is a testament to this soldier's individual strength, courage and commitment, and also an important institutional milestone for U.S. Special Operations Command as it embraces the cultural change that will continue to make it the most successful and elite Special Operations Force in the world," Stefanik said.

In mid-June, the National Guard soldier finished the final requirement by making it through a culminating field exercise that drops candidates into a fictional, unconventional-warfare setting at Camp Mackall, North Carolina, the news outlet reported.

No requirement as of 1980 and going forward. Standards have dropped across the board.

I went through Airborne School in 76, women definitely received preferential treatment from what I heard. Didn't see anything, because the Black Hats were dropping me for pushups every chance they had...lol, they didn't think highly of butterbars like me.

Had several classmates that earned their Ranger tab, they tried to talk me into Ranger School. I knew my limitations, I was not a runner, and I didn't work well with less than 2 hours sleep a night for an extended period.

However, at my first unit at Hahn AB, that's what I did during Tac Evals. I was in the Wing CP for all four days, listening to the zoomies griping about 12 hour shifts. It was the nature of the beast, the other officer in my unit with a TS clearance was the Battery Cdr. He had a more important job, i.e. running the unit.

Airborne school has significantly changed. No more “running to Alabama”, break area procedures gone, etc. I hear you on the running thing and sleep deprivation. There have been articles on that as well in terms of SWC dropping standards:

In most hurdles races, I would be the only White guy.

I won the 120 HH around 1971 at the Alabama State Relays. I never did see the photo but a couple of guys told me the photo of me winning was the headline on the front page of the Sunday Sports Section of The Montgomery Advertiser”

They said I really stood out from the rest.

“Sounds as useful as a 5’ tall 100# firefighter.”

I was on a rural department for years we had a woman about that size volunteer. She quickly realized she couldn’t hack the physical requirements. We trained her to run the pumper. She was good at it and it freed up a man to do the heavy lifting. She was there to help and did. Not there to strike a blow for feminism.

There are times on the list from the early 60’s. In the U.S. So there are both stop watch recorded times as well as electronic. Yet not the name you mentioned.

Do a Google search for James Batie, Troy University hall of fame.

You will find anything you want to know. I did make one mistake, he was ranked 6th in the world not 4th.

BTW, I was present the day Batie ran a 9.3. I usually did not compete in the 100 but always ran a leg of the 440 relay.

I did run that day and ran a 9.7 which qualified me for nationals but both the coach and I knew I had no chance so did not go.

Did the search.

Could not find anything about him running 9.3 in the 100.

You are a total jackass.

I still have my old Spring sports guide which lists track records as of 1972. I will find it and up load that page just for you.

Not necessary. I just searched under James Batie
Troy Track records and then among the first results there is a newspaper article about Batie.

It says that he holds the 100 yard record at 9.3.

Now why did you keep being such a jackass?

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I was asking simple questions. No need for the insults.

Gotta go. I beat Michael Phelps in a swimming sprint yesterday and I promised him a re-match today.

You kept demanding I prove everything I said which is simply calling me a liar. That is being a jackass.

I made no outrageous statements which should have required proof. I was simply telling the simple story of my experiences.

An average 14 year old boy is stronger than a fully developed woman. The US military should be renamed Obama’s military. It is ran by liberals like Milley, who wakes up thinking about wats to undermine his
Commander-In-Chief. All the Special Operations physical requirements have been lowered for women hoping and praying that one can pass them.
