Trump has trouble lifting glass of water and walking down ramp at West Point graduation
NEW YORK DAILY NEWS ^ | 06/14/202 | Me

Posted on 06/14/2020 6:53:21 PM PDT by snarkytart

He’s trembling again.

President Trump struggled to lift a glass of water Saturday during his speech to U.S. Military Academy graduates at West Point.

Trump started to lift the glass with his right hand but seemed unable to guide it all the way up to his lips.

The president used his left hand to steady the glass and tilt it into his mouth.

After his speech, Trump also looked unsteady as he walked down a set of stairs after a lethargic speech to the graduates of the Army college.

Apparently rattled by the coverage, Trump defensively took to Twitter late Saturday to explain his actions.

“The ramp...was very long & steep, had no handrail and, most importantly, was very slippery,” he wrote on Twitter. “The last thing I was going to do is “fall” for the Fake News to have fun with.”

He also had difficulty pronouncing the name of iconic World War II Gen. Douglas MacArthur and Gen. Ulysses S. Grant.

The incidents took barely a couple of moments to play out but drew an instant reaction on social media.

as for Joe!

17 May: NYT: I’ll Take Biden’s Confusion Over Trump’s Corruption
Let’s not repeat the false equivalence of 2016.
by Frank Bruni
Please tell me why I should care whether Joe Biden is declining mentally when Donald Trump bottomed out morally long ago.
I’m serious. I’d rather drink milk past its expiration date than arsenic...

As Nick Corasaniti and Maggie Haberman wrote in The Times on Friday, “The (Trump) campaign’s ads on Facebook have taken their own dark turn. Its videos on the platform declare ‘Geriatric Health is No Laughing Matter’ or ‘Joe Biden: Old and Out of It,’ then use selective edits of Mr. Biden’s verbal stumbles and meandering soliloquies to make less-than-subtle suggestions about his mental acuity.”...

There have been moments aplenty when Biden’s stumbles have made me wince — particularly a doozy from a few days ago, when he seemingly confused lost jobs with lost lives and upped the Covid-19 death toll to “millions of people.”

But Biden’s bumbling isn’t the defining issue, not even close, and we shouldn’t let Trump use it to do in 2020 what he did in 2016, which was to portray his opponent — then, Hillary Clinton — as so enormously unappealing and recklessly unacceptable that, to many Americans, Trump looked ever so marginally better in comparison, which is to say that he looked endurable...
To hold on to power, this president will do whatever it takes. And in the middle of all of this dying and impoverishment, it’s going to take a lot...

Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that Biden has lost a few steps. Let’s posit that while he was always a font of gaffes, he’s now a geyser of them. Let’s assume that his herky-jerky conversational gait betrays a herky-jerky intellectual one.
It nonetheless remains true that he got through a two-person, two-hour debate with Bernie Sanders in mid-March without embarrassing himself in the slightest. Besides, the precise agility of his mind has nothing to do with the fundamental decency of his values. At the end of the day, Biden can be trusted to do what Trump didn’t and won’t: stock his administration with qualified professionals. He could compensate for any supposed cognitive deficit with a surplus of talent...

So let Trump tweet and bleat to his heart’s content about Biden as some blithering idiot. It’s not just over the top; it’s irrelevant.
At least Biden’s not poison.

“I hate when people post a thread but are too lazy to comment on it.”

I think it was about 10 years ago that a guideline prohibiting the OP from commenting was established.

Soon followed by a prohibition of anyone, including the OP, reading the article.

Chuckle.
I remember the front page cover stories/images from the Daily News in 2016.
They repeatedly swore Trump would never become President in over 50 front page headlines.
They haven’t recovered from the shock of him winning up till today.

Maybe he has had an injection in that right arm that is hurting to lift. Given all that is going on!

Exactly. I’m 59 and have a bad rotator cuff. Two hands with a glass.

It is unwise to dismiss a 74 year old man’s health situation in the context of media hysteria or fake news. People’s chronlogical age never matches their performance meaning that some are a young 74 (like President Trump) while others that same age may have been nursing home resident for the past 10 years. The truth is that 65 and over is degenerative for everyone although rate of that decline is indiviually different.

The media would have spent the next 5 months showing split screens of him and Gerald Ford. Thank God he walked slowly and deliberately. He doesn’t need to be hurt, we don’t need him to be hurt and Hollywood, libtard politicians and the media don’t need the gaffe to run with

New York Daily News used to be a decent Centrist paper.... I knew something had changed during the whole time Trump was running for President..... The headlines were like an anti Trump comic book..... I knew Trump was going to win, and I made up my mind that the day after the election, I was gonna buy the Daily News just so I can have it as a souvenir.... Sure enough, Trump won, and I have that copy of the Daily News sitting in my office to this day..... The headline showed a picture of the White House with the caption “House of Horrors”..... I look forward to buying it again the day after this year’s election!

actaully dismissing in the context of media hysteria and fake news is probably very wise. It wouldn’t be wise to dismiss it outside of that context. However, POTUS seems fine for his age and his parents lived to be in their mid to late 80s. I work with a man who is 78 and is sharp and physically able, he pops right out of a chair no knee or back issues.

This is all bullshit. Joe Biden is almost 80 and has very real confusion issues.

“um..I did comment on it, the first post is MINE.”

For most, ‘This crap again’ is not a worthy comment.

And most don’t look for the OP commentary downstream.

Very obvious what is going on here. The media has received its marching orders from the DNC; they want to cover up Biden’s Alzheimers so they throw shade for some nonexistent physical disability at Trump. It is an old Stalinist trick - whatever you are concerned about in your background accuse your opponents of doing. These “news” papers are nothing other than The Volkische Beobacter of today’s left.

This is just to muddy the waters because Biden can’t even finish a complete sentence.

Pretty sure I posted more than that. Who are you to decide what is worthy. I posted an article and the entire body of the article for discussion.

Piss off.

Possibly a sore shoulder.

Rotator cuff injury, some tendonitis, bursitis or arthritis.

Creepy Uncle Joe will open the wrong door, walk in to the closet and be lost for half a day and the msm will say he's responsibly socially isolating.
