About 80 antifa/anarchist/ riot leaders were arrested in the past 2 weeks and are facing hard time on federal charges. Seen Antifa in DC since 1 June? The key to breaking up insurgencies...is to disable the brains. We have federal agents with lots of experience against gangs, cartels, anti terrorism, combat ops. To me it is a city issue. If the city won’t fix it, the state needs to go in and fix the problem, replace the city government and charge them with crimes. If it goes on, the Federal government needs to go in and fix the problem, replace the state government and state court judges and charge them with crimes and ban them from serving in government for life. I believe that is what the Federal Government did with states of the Confederacy. The Federal Government was less forgiving of the Branch Davidians.

I don’t disagree with the responsibility. I only point out that every citizen deserves the same basic constitutional rights.
I know some very conservative people who live in Seattle. I would never live there if I could help it because of the politics (and traffic and crush of people), but if I had to live there for work and this was going on in my neighborhood I would be very angry. We cannot say “you voted for it” about everybody.
I have said a few times since this started that the left is overplaying their hand and advocating for anarchy. Let us hope the silent majority renders judgement in November. It is unlikely to happen in Seattle, but there are many swing districts around the country where they are paying attention to this and are horrified.
It took a Mayor Dinkins and chaos in NYC to give us Rudy as Mayor.
While we live in strange times and the far left has gone off the deep end, we still must keep perspective. This is a small number of people relative to our population that is being magnified by a complicit and hysterical media.
The majority wants law and order and prosperity - not chaos. Let us hope and pray that they vote accordingly in November and history says they will.

I agree that taking out the planners and their “lieutenants” in the streets is the key to disabling Antifa. Disrupt the structure, their money sources and their communications. The rest will have no one to follow.
