A group of residents including children held rifles and other weapons as they blocked their road to 'guard it from looters'. Footage of the group, who were standing next to their cars to block the street, was posted on website LiveLeak and appears to have been filmed in Belleview, Florida. The residents were allegedly guarding their street to stop looters after stores in many parts of the country were raided during nationwide unrest caused by the death of black man George Floyd.

Exactly. When communist politicians and tax-paid LEOs won’t do their duty, it’s up to the citizens to protect themselves. Neighborhoods, like this one, need to form their own “militias” to protect what they’ve worked so hard for and paid taxes for for years. Also, once this is over, the next bond/tax issue that comes up for schools, LEOs, etc....vote it down.

Fred Reed (fredoneverything) discussed this about 20 years ago. Basically, he said that if the rioters ever try to expand into civilized neighborhoods, they may be shocked at how many people have rifles and pistols in their closets and, with their wives and children’s safety at stake, the will to use them.
It would be a bloodbath, and the rioters would lose.
This is why the left want your guns. You will not be able to stop their lawlessness. But, Behold! our Founders knew better...
Aren’t they actually a militia? This reminds me of the Minute Men. Free people using their right to bear arms to protect their families, homes and communities against a dangerous foe. That’s pure in ashamed American behavior.

Police, even good police departments, don’t usually help in the present. Only in the aftermath. Violence that continues into their response time is rare.

Even in gentrified liberal urban areas, the number of guns would surprise many. Of course, this doesn’t include those soviet sections of the country where simply owning a gun is illegal.

While I doubt any are reading this thread I would given any who might this advice: as a milita you are responsible for maintaining a semblance of discipline. You need to drill together and make sure everyone knows how to use their fire arm. You also need to make people aware of some sort of rules of engagement.
Finally, use sound tactics, shields can block rocks and help delay a situation where you have to shoot, also keep some folks with long rifles in reserve someplace where they have good line of sight.

The valley I live in with my relatives is heavy armed. We could start our own army. The entire country side here is loaded with ammo and weapons.
The left forgot we were arming up when Obama was in office for 8 years straight. Once armed you do not want to sell your weapons just in case they get back into office.
