Forty days regardless of what you do. Seems like the Venetians had an inherent insight when they came up with “quaranta” or 40 days when dealing with outbreaks of infectious disease.

This virus followed the same trajectory as every other stupid virus.
They evolve, they infect, they spread, they peak, they fade out.
The fade is usually expedited by the natural acquisition of herd immunity, which the blue state tyrants outlawed.

So if Brazil got it right by remaining mostly open, why did we cut off air traffic from there last week? Those charts would seem to indicate that the 40 day rule didn’t apply to Brazil.

The word “quarantine” comes from Italian history.
“Quaranta giomi” means forty days.
In ancient Italy when a ship arrived in port with an infection running on it the Italians made the ship stay away from the docks and no one come off the ship for forty days.
That is how we got “quarantine”.
So from ancient Italy to do today, there must be something natural to forty days when in comes to communicable infections running in a population.
