Yesterday a video surfaced from George Floyd as he was pinned down by a cop and later died.
It happened Monday night, when cops were responding to a forgery in progress. Police arrived and saw the suspect sitting in a car. According to the Department, the man resisted arrest so he was placed in handcuffs, adding he appeared to be suffering medical distress.
This has caused tensions around the country and things are not looking good.
The Minneapolis Police Department first requested an independent investigation by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and later contacted the FBI as well after the force received additional information that indicated the incident could be a question of civil rights, Police Chief Medaria Arradondo said Tuesday.
Floyds family has reportedly retained the services of Benjamin Crump, a well-known civil rights attorney who previously represented the family of Michael Brown, a black teenager whose 2014 killing by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, helped propel the Black Lives Matter movement into national prominence.
Arradondo announced that four officers involved in the incident had been fired Tuesday afternoon, which Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said was the right call.
But a new video from a surveillance camera has surfaced and it might cause more tensions.
A nearby restaurant, Dragon Wok, captured the initial moments of Georges run-in with Minneapolis police on a camera set up outside. Based on the video, this started as a traffic stop of some sort, which ended with George being led away in cuffs.
The video shows 2 vehicles parked curbside, and eventually, 2 officers approach one of the cars and ask everyone to step out. A man and a woman emerge from the passenger side, while George is taken out by another officer on the drivers side seemingly struggling at first.
The cops get George to stand up and lead him over to the sidewalk where they sit him down. He isnt doing a whole lot of resisting the rest of the way.

Two of the cops fired over the arrest of black man George Floyd have already been investigated for their roles in previous use-of-force incidents, its been revealed.
Derek Chauvin, 44, the officer filmed kneeling on Floyds neck during his arrest, is a 19-year veteran of the force who was investigated over a fatal police shooting in 2006.
Chauvin was investigated for his role in the 2008 shooting of Ira Latrell Toles during a domestic assault call. Toles was wounded after police said he went for an officers gun and Chauvin shot him.
Two years earlier Wayne Reyes, 42 was killed by officers after allegedly pulling a shotgun on the six cops, which included Chauvin, The Star Tribune reports.
A second officer involved in Mondays arrest, Tou Thao, is said to been part of a $25,000 out of court settlement after being sued for using excessive force in 2017.
In a lawsuit obtained by the DailyMail.com shows Thao was sued for using excessive force in an arrest where he was accused of punching and kicking a handcuffed suspect until his teeth broke. In any case, there is no need for people to spark racial tension as an Asian-American was also involved in the case. this is just police brutality and its something that needs to concern all of us no matter the race!
Please share this article wherever you can. It is the only way we can work around their censorship and ensure people receive news about issues that the mainstream media suppress.
This thread shows the video of before.
What I posted is the raw video of the incident everyone is upset about.
Let’s wait for the ME report, ok?
This is some nonsensical pearl-clutching, and the third article you've posted on this that repeats the same set of speculations.
Structural rot is a good way of putting what we are seeing here. Systematic structural rot.
Wow he did not look like he was resisting here as reported at other sites.
What happen between sitting down then being over by the police car on the ground. There is more video from that camera that has not been release yet.
The Asian police officer stated they tried to get him in a car for 10 mins before he was put on the ground in the other video. We need the video between this point and the being put on the ground.
Other videos I did see body cams. Those will need to be release. The other reports indicated he was high / OD on drugs, but he did not seen like he was violent high on drugs when they sat him down.
Does not look good for police officers at all.
At the end of the report the news person stated the body cams were on and recording.
We need to see the missing video from that camera and the body cams.
Was any of the other officers were black, so far I saw one white and one Asian. I do not think there are any racism involve. It was either training or someone with a power kick. Most likely training.
Even if he resisted, what this Officer did would still be murder. It wasnt a split second reaction of firing a weapon. He purposefully cut off his oxygen for 7 minutes.
My only question is why the black community and leaders don’t get upset like this when blacks kill other blacks or races?
Nor can a black person /s
This entire incident is predicated on a suspicion of attempting to pass a counterfeit $20?
Be interesting to learn how the suspicion came about.
Really cut of in oxygen for 7 min how was he able to talk then.
No air in no air out no talking one has to take air in to be able to talk.
Shows only what went on from the car to the wall does not show what happened when he went from the wall to the squad and what happen when they tried to place him in the squad.
We are being fed only a part of the story.
Poor guy did a lot of talkin’ to have no air for seven minutes. That is not condoning the clear police thuggery of pressing that knee with body weight behind it down on the guy’s neck!
True and we have yet to see any bodycam footage.
Bottom line though, nothing condones what was done to this man, especially after he was unconscious.
The most damning part, is the refusal to even check for a pulse.
Im not sure what is the purpose of your statement. He did a lot of talking for someone with no air. Guess what, he stopped talking didnt he. Guess what he died because of it. He was murdered. Executed.
Obviously he died from the lack of oxygen, didnt he? Just because it wasnt 100% cut off does not mean the restricted airway did not kill him. Which it did. I front of our eyes. Murdered.
If someone cut off 80% of your airway or circulation, you would feel it, and ask for relief for quite a while before you went unconscious and died.
I think dying sort of proves he wasn’t faking, doesn’t it? Unless he’s a really sneaky bastard.
This pdf is almost 20 years old, but the statistics surprised me.

“Why they put him on the ground after he was in handcuffs and standing by a wall is still unexplained. “
Yeah, they conveniently didn’t show that part of the video. They cut it off rather than show what happened next. When he sat, he was getting into a rice-paddy squat when he could spring up. The cop was telling him to sit the rest of the way down. Then the camera cuts.
Convenient.
When you use the word 'murdered' it is best to identify what degree, or manslaughter. Hyperbolic assertions are just a way to gin up racial unrest. We don't need that at this time in our crumbling history.
