President Trump began observing Memorial Day with a tweet Monday morning: HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY! He then participated at a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, and will also attend a ceremony at Fort McHenry in Baltimore.
Mr. Trump and first lady Melania Trump visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Monday morning. Although the wreath laying is usually part of a ceremony that involves a presidential address, Mr. Trump did not deliver a speech at the cemetery, which is closed to the public because of the coronavirus pandemic.
For the solemn occasion, the first lady wore a white double-breasted coat with gold military style buttons. She teamed the coat with matching white stiletto pumps.
Old school style rules dictate that women should only wear white between Memorial Day and Labor Day and the first chance she got Melania Trump donned white from head to toe.
She also showed off perfectly manicured nails and a dark smoky eye.
After the ceremony, she and Trump walked hand-in-hand to Marine One, with Trump then putting his hand on his wifes back to guide her into the plane on the way to their next stop, Fort McHenry in Baltimore.

Despite large ceremonies being canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event went ahead. However, it took place on a smaller scale than would usually be the case, with participants who were not wearing masks, maintaining requisite social distancing protocol.
I couldn’t agree more! She truly is spectacular, a gorgeous, intelligent, and very kind; a protective mother who knows how to conduct herself on any occasion.
my favorite picture of the Yeti!!!! Proof she is fashion model material.
Perfect. Slightly military, long sleeved almost like dress whites in the navy. Simple and and draws attention not to her, but to the occasion.
I guess “The Yeti” and Stacey Abrams are both runway models...airport runways.
I’ve worn a mask exactly 2 times since this mess started and that was because I had to, to get into where I went. And I don’t plan to wear one either. I’ve been everywhere and on multiple occasions, home depot, Lowes, walmart, restaurants, the mall....
Common sense is enough IMO. Unfortunately common sense ain’t so common anymore
Terminal case of steatopygia.
Just looked it up...
True statement.
its been cloudy and chilly in the area all weekend...
i know, right?!
Weird.
Why the coat? Weather did not warrant it.
= = =
I’m sure it’s a conspiracy.
:- /
Having to stand for over an hour, in low 60s, and I’m going to be wearing a coat.
Same here. Only wear it when it’s required by business. But it hasn’t been made mandatory by the state (LA)
Mask wearing has become less frequent
here lately.
And once it gets really hot, forget it!
