The Guardian gets it right for a change, although I’m not really into the blame-game thing. The fact is that very few saw this coming, very few thought that it would turn into what it has become, and that very few does not include any politician I can think of, and few if any journalists. I do recall that Tucker Carlson seemed more concerned than just about anyone in the media.

The Guardian wanted an earlier shutdown, more prisoners released from jail, more fear, and less school privatization.
The Guardian also said that Trump is worse than Cuomo.

And, this scion of Satan has the nerve to blame TRUMP for “forcing him to send COVID patients into nursing homes”! Trump gave them a Navy hospital ship which went virtually unused, a couple more large facilities, masks, ventilators—did Cuomo expect him to wipe his rear end for him, too? Apparently so, and DumblASSio as well. Those two couldn’t figure the way out of a wet paper bag with a guide dog and a map. The only thing they know how to do is point a finger of blame at somebody else.
Cuomo was too busy making TV appearances to think this thru.
