So what?

I bet LA voted for Trump by a wider margin than your state in 2016, and will do so again. We have all-R congressional representation, with the exception of one House member. Our governor is D, but he’s solidly pro-life — and would not have been elected/re-elected, except that the state GOP nominated some exceptionally weak candidates whom the voters refused to accept.

LA is the reddest of the Red.

I think the article was referring to states as red or blue depending on the governor. Undoubtedly LA is FAR more normal and red than IL...because of Chicago. Most of the rest of the state is as red as LA,WY, TX etc.
