A new study reveals that almost a third of county jail inmates have been set free from the facilities during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Prison Policy Initiative study has determined that 32% of inmates at county jails have been set free.

“In the last two months, local governments across the U.S. have drastically reduced their jail populations to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The typical jail has reduced its population by more than 30%.”

so- the new rule is- ‘commit a crime, do the time UNLESS there happens to be a virus goign around- then you’ll be set free’

Talk about being tough on crime- /s

Murder or rape someone, do maybe a 1/2 day while your lawyer argues that it’s ‘too dangerous for the client to be in prison’- then they are let go out of ‘concerns for the inmate’s safety’

We are turning into a society where criminals are revered, while law abiding citizens are arrested, fined, or thrown into prisons for violating some asinine subjective rule-

Welcome to the end times- welcome to the society that calls wrong right and right wrong- welcome to the ‘all powerful one world government system’ that will take over when some imaginary pandemic ‘sweeps the world’ and a leading central figure ‘must take control’ to ‘set things right’

What we just went through- oops- are still going through, is a Trial Run- to see how many will comply- and to see how powerful the ‘powers that be’ in government can become without getting legally challenged in court- but make no mistake- in the end times- when the Anti-Christ rises up- there won’t be the ability to challenge in court- that ‘old archaic system’ will be done away with- and the new system- the ‘New and Improved’ system, ‘for the good of the nation, and indeed the world, will be inplace- giving total control to the governing powers-

OK everyone- step forward and get your Biochip implant if you want to shop and buy things-

In the last two months, local governments across the U.S. have drastically reduced their jail populations to slow the spread of the coronavirus

Why didn't they just give them masks and keep them in their socially distanced cells? You know, have them do what they're telling us to do.

I know. I know. Because the virus isn't the real reason.

This is not a time for weeping. This is a time for boldness.

You are a Keyboard Warrior. A Keyboard Patriot.

Write letters to the editor. If you're "lucky" enough to be represented by a Republican Congresscritter or Senator, write him or her.

If you're on social media, post your thoughts. Spend some time alone with our Heavenly Father and ask Him for guidance and how you can fulfill His Will in this matter.

It is FROM freedom and FOR freedom that Christ made us free. He wants us to be free. But freedom must be fought for.

Giving The Father, Son and Holy Spirit praise and glory and blessings with a heart of gratitude our are weapons. Use them.

I’m sorry, the only sane and nonviolent way is to get involved in politics. Hold your nose and “grow up.”

It worked in 2016! I was there.

Prisoners freed = increased crime rate. Alaska didn’t go that route, thank goodness.

It’s 3X that if you figure the huge number of people we DID NOT arrest bc we knew the jail wont hold them. Think about that.

Everyone responsible for this should be fired and blacklisted from working in government again. Is America this dumb and crazy? Creepy.

If “Orange Man Bad” local governments are not making sure that inmates test negative for SARS-CoV-2 before releasing them, then local governments have a price to pay for helping to spread virus imo.
In four U.S. state prisons, nearly 3,300 inmates test positive for coronavirus -- 96% without symptoms

And speaking of local governments…

Send "Orange Man Bad" federal and state government Democrats and RINOs home in November!

Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a third term in office imo.

I think the politicians who released the criminals should be put in jail. People have been killed as a result of their actions.

“In the last two months, local governments across the U.S. have drastically reduced their jail populations to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The typical jail has reduced its population by more than 30%.”

The article reports on a study that shows county jails across the nation have released, on average, 30% of inmates. What is misleading about the headline?

Anyone who knows anything knows that jails are where counties keep people pending trial or for sentences of less than a year. Prisons are run at the state or federal level.

What is misleading about the headline?

"One Third Of Jail Inmates Nationwide Set Free in Unprecedented Coronavirus Jailbreak"

Since few of us discriminate between jail and prison, it could cause you to believe that Attica is spewing out a third of its residents onto the streets. More "scare 'em" tactics.
