A Freeper from Oregon (or was it Washington state?) mentioned on FR recently that he observed state vote-counters opening mail-ballots, then defacing the ones that were marked Republican. And defaced ballots do not count. Into the garbage can they go.
I absolutely believe that happened. And I absolutely believe in November 2020 we will see that again, times ten. Then Democrats simply will not allow Trump to win a state by a few percentage points like he did in 2016.

Biden has two cards to play here. He could cite the virus. But then Trump would suggest holding a remote debate. A better play would be for Biden to refuse to debate Trump because, well, Trump is such a “hater”.
That would be nonsense, of course. But I can hear the media talking heads now. “Three cheers for Biden for refusing to give Trump the time of day.”
Of course then Trump would call Biden chicken, and recall Biden saying he would ‘beat Trump like a drum’ in typical Biden fake tough guy style/
