Ohio is still "locked down". A representative from Wooster, Ohio was on Tucker Carlson's show last night. He reported that the Wooster area has had only 7 hospital admissions for COVID-19
Trumpy Bear just had to check that out. Remember, at the beginning of the pandemic, the Ohio Director of Health predicted that Ohio would have 200,000 deaths. She had to recant that but little has changed.
What are the numbers Today, May, 8? Remember, Ohio is a "young state". Nearly half of the population is under the age of 40.
There are 24 counties with No deaths. There are 22 counties with 1 death. There are 1,306 total deaths in Ohio. There are 499 deaths in long term care and nursing homes. There have been 2 deaths in the 20-29 age group. There have been 8 deaths in the 30-39 age group. There have been 670 deaths in the over 80 age group.
Looking at the top 5 counties and major cities, Trumpy Bear found the following regarding the number of deaths.
161 - Lucas County - Toledo - The highest 143 - Cuyahoga County - Cleveland 119 - Mahoning County - Youngstown 108 - Franklin County - Columbus 100 - Hamilton County - Cincinnati
Of course, one death is too many but Trumpy Bear wonders what the economic impact of the lockdown is on the health of all of the citizens of Ohio. Once again, do we have a Director of Health staring at the tree trunks? Where is Governor DeWine?
Made a cut and paste mistake. Full article follows:

Sheltering and cowering in place can kill you and your loved ones!:
Heather Mac Donald, the Thomas W. Smith Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, writing in the Hill:
On Wednesday, Cuomo announced the shocking news that 84 percent of all hospital admissions were either people sheltering at home or nursing home residents. He shouldnt have been surprised. The risk of coronavirus infection occurs overwhelmingly indoors. Researchers in China identified only one outdoor outbreak of infection among over a thousand cases studied.
Most transmissions occurred at home, rendering the close-down-all-businesses-and-shelter-in-place rule contraindicated.
Study reveals that vitamin D likely to reduce serious coronavirus complications:
Vitamin D is produced in the skin from UVB sunlight exposure and is transported to the liver and then the kidney where it is changed into an active hormone that increases calcium transport from food in the gut and ensures calcium is adequate to keep the skeleton strong and free of osteoporosis.
The study found that vitamin D can also support the immune system through a number of immune pathways involved in fighting SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19.
Screw Dick Dewine.
I got fat and started drinking again.
Thank goodness I got called back to work.
Unfortunately no Hamvention this year to take my money.
DeWhine is allowing Dr. Amy to lead him around by the nose.
Our local paper, The Dayton Daily News, or Pravda West as I refer to it, has long ago stopped giving us a breakdown by county and reports only the highest numbers, those the dept of health ‘thinks’ have had or died of COVID 19, not the number of confirmed cases.
At one time, Holmes County, the world’s largest Amish community had just 1 confirmed case. One.
The good news is I have an appointment for a much needed manicure on Friday.
Waiting to hear when live music can be played anywhere in the whole state. I cant wait for that day. When its allowed, Ill be there listening to my favorite band.
OHIO PING!
Please let me know if you want on or off the Ohio Ping list.
