Much of this is indeed a leader listening to a bad set of “expert” advisors. It has cost our nation far more than those who died.
No matter which way one looks at this the buck stops in only one place. Trump had the ability early on to throw some cold water on this, he didn’t and he lost control.
I will still support him too, but on this event Trump holds responsibility. These were his experts, his team talking to governors, his messaging scaring the hell out of the American public and worst of all it is all continuing in many parts of the country.
We all witnessed the hypocrisy of the lockdowns as people by the thousands rushed out to stores for weeks on end. Cramming people into stores, fighting over TP, and meat.
I am tired of people saying he was between a rock and a hard place coming off the impeachment hoax. I voted for him to lead when that rock/hard place happens. This was a costly, costly mistake.
I keep reading this, but don't understand how Trump blew it. The CDC, NIH, and WHO were saying no big threat. Dr. Fauci, the ultra-epidemiologist said the same thing early on.
It was the CDC who is suppose to be responsible for this kind of disease emergency that was unprepared while wasting their time/funding on other nonsense and dropped the ball with the first reports coming out of China. I'll give them some slack since China lied from the beginning. Still, it's their job.
Where Trump may be at fault is not recognizing Fauci changing his story every week or two. What the President did right is shutting down in-coming flights from China and then Europe. Of course he was called a racist, but it was a prudent decision.
Yes! These two were foisted on Trump, and after 3 1/2 years of being battered daily by all the forces arrayed against him, he seems to have decided to “play ball” in what he could have seen as a foolproof move to appease the Democrats. This was a big mistake, and I didn’t trust this dynamic duo of Fauci and Birx from the beginning.It was clear the MSM were watching and waiting for any and every appearance of conflict or difference of opinion between the “expert”Fauci, and Trump—they gloated over it and tried to exacerbate the narrative the Trump didn’t trust true “Science”. Fauci was in fact a Brutus-—both of them should’ve been sidelined long ago. In any event, Fauci will come out of this smelling like a rose, Trump won’t, UNLESS he tells the American people how he was swindled, misled, and scammed by these two. If he doesn’t do that, his re-election is threatened, I think, for the first time. He needs to show that he feels the forces that have been trying to get rid of him have set him up. He was put into what we call “a trick bag”, and political trick bags are the biggest and most vexing. It will all be blamed on him,all of it, including a lockdown which is destroying the economy.
