Looking at a America, as I do, from a long way away, looking from a nation which calls itself Down Under, I see freedom.
Maybe I am wrong.
This little collage is an attempt to show poetically the sense of wonder with which I look at America.
I am sorry, that America passed on in January 1989

Are you saying that not even Reagan’s deputy could save his legacy?
Did he really say that? Marxist-Leninists are atheists.
He was atheist when younger but changed his mind later.
Indeed. Bush the First was a charter member of the deep state new world order cabal.

I am a big fan of Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan so I think I am on the same page as you.
What was George H.W.’s working relationship with Reagan like?
Did they clash frequently?
Mr ozguy, sir, thank you for this posting. If the first half dozen replies to your post are any indicator, you have clearly tapped into a deep and wide vein of cynicism. Cynicism happens to be another symptom of “what ails America” right now. I for one am in agreement with you. America is an awesome place. It’s up to “we the people” to keep it that way. Expecting politicians to do it is expecting something that never was and never will be.
From what I have read, while not openly antagonistic to each other, RR and GHWB were not bosom buddies. As with most things in American politics, Bush's selection as VP was a compromise to the establishment GOP for Reagan being an outsider without foreign policy cred.
Thank you Robin.
“We the people.” really is great!
