Every YouTube employee should get down on their knees and thank the video creators, mostly working from home, for making that site an enormous success over the years. Instead, the attitude emanating from YouTube recently has been one of denigration and mockery of those same creators in favor of promoting mainstream media channels despite the fact that YouTube has grown primarily because viewers wanted an alternative to the MSM output.
The latest example of a YouTube official sneering at the very creators who brought them to the table of success comes in the form of YouTube Chief Product Officer Neal Mohan mocking the people, who made his big salary possible, as "espousing their opinions...in their basement."

The attitude of this YouTube official is the norm for the current leadership at YouTube which has now taken it upon itself to act as a CENSOR for views it deems as dangerous (i.e. conservative views)
YouTube’s appeal was that it provided an accessible global commons. I guess the company now wants to reimagine itself as a subsidiary of the propaganda ministry.
Youtube stopped being Youtube when they got bought by Google. Now they’re just another subsidized piece of the evil empire and don’t have to give a damn about their users.
The vast majority of what I look at on you tube is put up by affecionados of the subject. There is very little I look at that is done by professional prodicers.
To be blunt, it was done as planned since the beginning. Once they became a virtual monopoly, that was when the nazis came out of the woodwork, stealing all the production from the created content. There should have been massive lawsuits from the get-go for violation of terms of services in the beginning; remember, terms goes BOTH ways.
These creator need to move over to ugetube.com, and start making it better. Dump youtube.

Out of the other side of his mouth he refers to Theirtube as “our platform” and “open platform.”
If he wants to force feed his preferences onto the viewers that is programing, not just providing a platform.
It gets even more interesting at about 10:00.
He goes on about removing videos that are obviously harmful and by 12:30 he easing right into opinions and politics.
