Proof that the boomer generation has a literal death grip on our society.

Swine f;u was very scary, a ton of middle age people 45 - 60 with very mild comorbidities dying in front of us. Nothing we did saved them. It was horrifying. You are correct in your assessment.
Yet President Trump continues to trash Georgia Gov Kemp because he wants to end the lockdowns, get people working, restart the economy and make Georgia great again. Trump should be praising Kemp not trying to bury him.
So, what’s the quandary here? Most people over the age of 65 get flu shots because they know how dangerous the flu can be for them. Inversely, most of the young flubros think they are bullet proof and don’t get flu shots. So, 80 percent of them died from the illness. It’s not rocket science.
Media fueled hysteria because Trump. If it were a DemonRat in the WH, it’d be - meh - just the flu.
It makes PERFECT sense to the takeover conspirators.
I was talking with my son about this.
Workers in America are mostly under 60 and nearly all under 70. Those older folks residing in assisted living and other care facilities have been savaged by this virus.
Those in the older age range, especially if they suffer from other chronic problems, need to be isolated.
Problems occur when the younger are asymptomatic and can pass it to the older people in their lives.
There has to be a way to let the younger people work while protecting the older population.
And then in New York they sent elderly folks with the Wuhan Virus to “senior care facilities” where they could quietly die, and perhaps infect even more elderly folks.
I got H1N1 and it turned my entire body into an unstoppable mucus factory for 3 straight days.
It would drown young, active people in their own bodily fluids... but neither my wife nor son got it, so it could not have been that contagious.
CCV doesn’t seem to want to kill young, active people, but the transmission rate is “unstoppable”.
Final Death toll from CCV will be over 150K, but the median age of death will end up around 78, unless there are more than 3 other heath issues.
The 2009 H1N1 pandemic had one of the lowest fatality rates of any influenza in recent years. The only reason anyone payed attention to it was the fact that it was killing young people instead of old. Had it killed old people, even 2 or 3 times as many, no one would have even heard of it. Granted, the death of a person who has not lived a full life IS more tragic than that of someone who has. But 2009 is a poor comparison, as we ignore flu seasons that only kill old people even more than we did H1N1.
This is a millennia pandemic where hundred percent safety is required and everyone needs a safety trophy. At the price of the economy and their continued fear.
The people significantly at risk are already unemployed.
Shutting the economy is worthless.
I hate the lockdowns as much as anyone and was ranting and railing about it early on....but now it’s just crying over spilt milk - especially with all the hindsight crap...as the “other side” hammers that the President did too little too late, our side is Hell-bent on looking back to say he did too much too fast....we’re putting him in a vise and helping the other side as this once-in-a-lifetime unique situation races towards November with the constant water under the bridge howling...
