With so many great butters available today, Land O Lakes is mediocre, with or without the trademark Native American maiden.
With the current shutdown, a local dairy is selling heavy cream for $5 per gallon. It's worth making our own butter at that price.

Really? Last week we were buying gallons of milk for $.99 a gallon. There are several reports out there of dairy farmers pumping milk into the sewers because there is no room at the co-ops and there is nothing else they can do with it.

Amen, Nauru. Anyone whos never done it, give it a try. My guests are always impressed when I make homemade butter. Essentially make whipped cream with a little salt and keep whipping until the curds and whey separate. Look online for details; I dont want to take up space here. Super easy and super good
