Are We Witnessing a Targeted Hit Against Trump Voters?
American Greatness ^ | April 15, 2020 | Curtis Ellis

The debate about “reopening the economy” is a phony debate.

It’s phony because “the economy” isn’t shut down. Far from it. Walmart is still open. Dollar General is open. Amazon is open. Alibaba is open.

It just so happens that the big-box mass merchandisers and online retailers responsible for flooding our country with crap from Communist China are open.

Meanwhile, other, very specific parts of the country are shut down.

Family-owned shops and workshops, the backbone of America, are closed. Fast-food franchises remain open—drive-through windows are operating at full tilt—but independently owned restaurants are shuttered or trying to survive at diminished capacity doing takeout only.

No. Don’t be a victim for no reason. Think about how to succeed in chaos, which always brings opportunity.

If we are, they didn't "target" very well. Most of the deaths occurred in deep blue districts.

I don't know if they planned it that way, but the big city concentration camps would be most vulnerable.

Yep and Trump knows this. That’s why he’s leaving it up to the governors because he knows what the dems will do. People will be outraged and won’t forget.

If there was a targeted attack the response from the right would be to discuss if there was a targeted attack.

16 Apr: Reuters: New York forms team to develop ‘Trump-proof’ economic reopening plan
by Jarrett Renshaw; Editing by Heather Timmons, Cynthia Osterman and Bill Berkrot
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has tapped high-powered consultants to develop a science-based plan for the safe economic reopening of the region that can thwart pressure from President Donald Trump to move more rapidly, state government sources told Reuters...
Governors from seven East Coast states formed a coalition on Monday, led by New York, to develop a joint reopening plan. Three governors from the West Coast formed a similar plan. The 10 states, mostly led by Democrats, together make up 38% of the U.S. economy.

As part of Cuomo’s effort, McKinsey & Company is producing models on coronavirus testing, infections and other key data points that along with other research and expert opinions will help underpin decisions on how and when to reopen the region’s economy.
Dani Lever, communications director for Cuomo, said McKinsey has been primarily helping New York analyze the COVID-19 surge, such as hospital capacity and infection rates.

Cuomo has also recalled three former top aides: Bill Mulrow, a senior adviser director at Blackstone Group; Steven Cohen, an executive vice president of MacAndrews & Forbes Inc; and Larry Schwartz, who, like the others, previously served as secretary to the governor.
Deloitte is also involved in developing the regional plan, a source told Reuters on Wednesday.

The goal is to “Trump-proof” the plan, said an adviser to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy.
“We think Trump ultimately will blink on this, but if not, we need to push back, and we are reaching out to top experts and other professionals to come up with a bullet-proof plan,” to open on the state’s terms, said a Cuomo adviser.

Trump, whose reelection bid was built on a strong economy before it was derailed by the epidemic, is losing patience with the economic shutdown and has challenged governors who are preaching caution, setting the stage for larger clashes over the pace of the reopening...

My Antique store is shut down as it is “non essential.” Most fortunately that store is totally paid for and wife and I are retired with separate income streams. We are okay.

Most unfortunately friends of mine in the same town are dependent on an income stream from their stores. They are hurting big time! Those other stores are our competitors but not really. Each of us just try to offer a unique shopping experience. We socialize and drink together on occasion. They are really my friends. One dear friend whom is my competitor was trained in London at one of the great auction houses of the world Christie’s. When I get a piece of very old furniture that I can not identify I have him look at if for me. He tells me what it is. I know my American funiture but my friend knows European furniture the best.

He sends me business for customers looking for what I have and I do the exact same for him.

"Twenty million newly unemployed American workers might disagree."

That's right. Those that aren't working are those who are making more than the minimum wage, generally the white-collar workers along with those who work in sit-down restaurants, hair stylists & those who come in close contact with people in general.

Retail is pretty much at semi-to-full swing, depending on the state...but we all can't work at Dollar Tree, Dollar General and Walmart & other CCP stores.

Conspiracy theorists might want us to call it a blatant attack on the middle-higher income folks, but doggone if I can figure out how they'd rope POTUS AND the never-Trumpers & Libs into going along with it. I don't think I'm going to try too hard on that line of thought.
