Youd think public universities would appreciate the fact that mandatory online classes during the COVID-19 outbreak are less valuable than in-person learning, where they can build professional connections and take advantage of networking opportunities.
Oregon State University does not appreciate that fact.
The taxpayer-funded institutions Board of Trustees is raising tuition on incoming undergraduates by 3.2 percent as a purported compromise, The Daily Barometer reports. Trustees considered three options at a Friday teleconference:

I expect many colleges to raise tuition for new students, and many students to choose community colleges in response.
I suspect that this hiatus will be part of the demise of the universities as they have come to be. I am so hopeful of this. Nothing would do our country more good. They are cesspools of irrationality and societal wreckage.

Better off learning a skilled trade. Those jobs mostly can’t be exported and can be the bases for starting a business.
Only the first of the many price rises that are coming. Concomitant with the recession, we are going to have steep inflation.
