What is going on over at CNN? At least two of their prominent anchors, Chris "Fredo" Cuomo and Brooke Baldwin have tested positive yet CNN led by Dr. Sanjay Gupta remains very negative about using hydroxychloroquine along with Z-Pak and zinc aka "Trump Pills" as a treatment. Could it actually be that because President Trump recommended at least trying this treatment that they remain negative about this?
Here are several scenes of CNN negativity on this topic including Anderson Cooper absurdly mocking this treatment because someone died after swallowing fish tank cleaner which included chloroquine as part of its solution. Despite CNN claiming that there was just one test of this treatment in France, you can see results of other treatments including that of Dr. Vladimir Zelenko and Dr. Stephen Smith.
Finally, one has to wonder if Fredo and Brooke Baldwin have already taken the Trump Pills. Dr. Sanjay Gupta wants them to wait MONTHS for the treatment to be fully tested but when you contract this disease, you don't have that time.
In case you're wondering where the DUmmie FUnnies humor comes from in this, it is from the irony of those two anti-Trump CNN anchors deciding (they may have already decided) whether to swallow their pride and swallow the Trump Pills.

Trump should have said the drug does NOT work, Trump knows that everything he says, the left does the opposite..he should have said the drugs are a total failure, dont take them, then the commie media would have said “TAKE THEM TAKE THEM”

I would bet that his response to chloroquine/hydroxychloroquine is based on a very superficial understanding - and he is just assuming that there is no way that using an anti-malarial drug makes any sense against a virus. That conclusion would be typical of someone who doesn't have a clue - but thinks they do.
Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine alter the morphology and function of the Golgi apparatus in cells, and have an effect on intracellular vesicle trafficking. As an enveloped virus, Covid (and coronaviruses in general) get out of the cells they replicate in by trafficking through these intracellular vesicles. Most enveloped viruses, like HIV, get out of cells by budding through the cell membrane - taking part of that membrane with them as their ‘envelope’. Coronaviruses can actually use the same vesicle transport system that proteins do to be secreted from cells.
The bottom line is that there IS a reasonable mechanism whereby chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine could treat Covid. One could also speculate that they can attenuate the release of cytokines from cells - and thus prevent the cytokine storm that is thought to cause much of the worst illness in Covid infection. There's no proof of this, to this point, but it makes some potential mechanistic sense.
Beware of dogma, particularly the dogma of the uninformed.
The man who died from fish tank cleaner was given the dose by his mentally ill wife. She murdered him. She ingested just enough to make her sick but not kill her.
Well, then, they should not use hydroxychloroquine. Wouldn’t want them taking Trump pills. Instead, reserve it for normal people.
If CNN doesn’t like something, that makes me all the more eager to support it.
Have they told us that Fredo Cuomo refused treatment with the Trump pills?
