In this Vlog Bill plays a video made by a frontline ER Doctor in NYC. He says the standard ventilator treatment being used across the world is not helping any of his patients. In fact, he says it's making things worse. And, he goes into detail as to his observations. And, then pleads for more frontline doctors to speak out.
True and they should be given at any stage as an act of mercy and hope.
But they should be given early and not later.
> My friend from Queens has both parents infected. Father is hospitalized on a ventilator, mother was sent home. In order to get hydroxychloroquine for his mother, he had to drive a 6 hour round trip to Pennsylvania. That was Thursday, his mother is feeling better already.
Anecdotal (jk)
So... Cuomo is scrambling for ventilators for NYC, but in order to get HCQ, NYC victims need go out of state?
It would be interesting to hear more details (eg from other similar NYC/NY victim situations).
Trump just spent several moments in the daily covid-19 briefing highlighting the potential of HCQ/Z-Pak. Presuming your report is accurate, it seems that there is something that is amiss somewhere in NY (jmho).
Jet vents are not used any longer. Usually one moves to proning or inverse ratio ventilation at that point. ARDS er has also added quite a bit to the adjustment of ventilators
So, they are dying from hypoxia? That’s what O2 starvation is. They don’t need more air. They need more oxygen.
An honest laymans opinion is often worth much more than a crooked physicians.
Bellin Health (Green Bay) is making anyone with any one covid related symptom, even when its known to be related to a chronic issue that would put them at greater threat of worse outcome if they were to catch it, and make them all go to the same clinic and wait together. So a person that may have developed pneumonia from chronic bronchitis that started last fall are sitting right next to the person showing full blown symptoms. Gotta get more people into that critical category to boost the bottom line.
Clearly insane but Im an honest layman so I shouldn’t have a say, at least that’s their position.
My understanding is that most hospitals have HCQ for patients. If you’re not hospitalized, your doctor can prescribe it but good luck finding a pharmacy that has it.
Sorry, when calls it “phenomenom” instead of “phenomenon” or “phenomena” I question his intelligence.
Search it out here on FR. I just borrowed it. Wasn't me, but I SURE like it.
Were taking 50mg of zinc every day. Plus Vitamin C & Vitamin D.
A nurse just spoke on Hannity. Patients put on ventilators have lungs too far gone to work for themselves. In a nut shell, patients on ventilators are ready to go Home.
The audio quality is pretty bad and for someone like me who has profound hearing loss, I cannot understand what he is saying. Can someone give a three sentence summary?
[[[Waiting to administer compassionate care via hydroxychloroquine until the patient is ceritical is a huge mistake, in this laymans opinion.]]]
People should be on it now.
HCQ early - vent is too late. What have you got to lose.
freaking unbelievable....best to your friends parents....
Wait...you mean Alyssa Milano or some other celebrity or sports figure doesn’t have the answer? Whatever will we do!
Did you have a script?
In summary, the ER Doc is saying that the standard Pnuemonia Protocol wrt the use of ventilators which all hospitals worldwide are using is not just not working, it’s making matters worse.
Damaging patient’s lungs. Why?
Because the issue as he has observed is not that they cannot breathe because the muscles involved in breathing are worn out.
It’s that with this virus the Oxygen/Carbon Dioxide exchange is not happening when the patient deteriorates to the critical level.
The patients are turning blue and then dying of Oxygen depravation / Carbon Dioxide saturation.
