So, yesterdays’ question was masks in public.
So what questions do people have today? This seemed to be fairly well received yesterday.

It does raise quite a number of interesting social questions, doesn’t it? Facial recognition software. Useless now, I would think.
I would think antiviral antibody might be a question people have today. I was a little disappointed no one wanted to talk about “Conjoined Twins” yesterday.

I believe that’s why the Feds are reluctant to recommend masks. Far more terrorists slipping through would be the deep state’s official excuse.
a respirator creates higher air pressure to help breath. A mask filters to some extent dust and water vapor the carriers of the virus which a dry paper mask has some affect.
No problem. Remember, the medical use of N95 masks was never really to be used outside a negative pressure room. If you have visited the hospitals you may have noticed that (in the preCV days) their was an “Isolation Cart” outside the rooms of those in Isolation (negative pressure room). When the staff goes in they gown and glove, place mask, enter room, do j on, exit room, remove gown gloves, then mask. Don’t touch the outside of any of it upon exit. Place used PPE in red bag.
That is “policy” on the part these tools play and it is highly effective. Trying to take parts of this system away from the setting they were designed for will seriously degrade their effectiveness and potentially cause a reduction in the public’s confidence in the equipment, which could be unfortunate and avoidable.
Everyone wearing a bandana accomplishes the goal, requires no training, is cheap and fairly fool proof. Just logic. Plus stay upwind of those rude enough to be out uncovered. Yes, shame will come into play.
You are thinking of a fireman’s respirator which is just a scuba tank and regulator. “Respirator” is synonymous with N95 mask. I know. It’s confusing.
No problem. We all are “wrong” frequently. Sometimes we even get away with it. “Rather be lucky than good.”
I think we are probably hours from requiring people to be “covered” in public.

We’ve all seen the vid where the guy pulls the gun and the guy behind him in line just shoots him in the head.
Testing is a hot topic. People are clamoring for more tests. Outside of informing people who are using the data to make displays for Fauci and Birx that people don’t seem to trust anyway, what good is “testing”?
Conventional to use testing to push back against an epidemic, a positive test precipitates a detailed interview with someone trained to do contact testing. With a little common sense any one can be trained to do the interview. You just need to ask the person where they were at this moment, say two weeks ago. Walk them through every location they have been since then. “The movies” is not an acceptable answer. WHICH theater? Which SEAT? Front or back right or left. See what I’m saying? It HAS to be that level of detail because all these locations can be cross referenced to fresh cases. So you can establish a “chain of custody” almost. That takes time. So if “testing” is to become a significant part of our response we have to logistically prepare for what that means.

I was under the impression that the virus particles are small enough the get through an ordinary surgical mask or a scarf but can be 95% prevented from getting through an N-95 mask and 99.9% with an N-100 mask. Not true?
A surgical mask, a bandana, whatever, works in exhalation, by catching what YOU exhale. A surgical mask does almost no filtering on inhalation, most of the airflow goes around the mask. You wear it in surgery to protect the patient, not yourself.
