Actually, the most damaging thing the media did happened months before when they managed to get Steve Bannon pushed out of the White House NSC. He was on the pandemic before anybody and would have brought experts like Dr. Steven Hatfill to the attention of the President and his staff months before Scarborough even knew where Wuhan was.
The whole world saw and heard the President talk about this in the Feb 4 SOTU address. Duuhhhh
