My mom is in Dallas, and I’m in California. My niece is in Dallas and works for Google. We are thinking of adding Google homes to my mom’s home.

Those are highly rated devices. I'd definitely recommend it sooner than later.

Imagine a device that will read a book to your mother in bed, or place soft music/nature sounds to sooth her and respond to voice commands if she is too tired to get out of bed.
