2100 / 123000 = 1.7%

We are actually going up.

Portugal is about as close as one can get in Europe to "Third World". And as for the claim of "no underlying conditions" is concerned I'll bet a more accurate claim would have been "no *known* underlying conditions".

Just think of kids in their teens and twenties who, despite seeming to be in perfect health, drop dead on the basketball court or the football field.

Re: “Schoolboy, 14, With No Underlying Health Conditions Dies From Coronavirus”

Sad news.

However...

There have been 155 pediatric deaths in the USA caused by seasonal influenza - in the last six months.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/

Yet, no one is mourning their loss?

If we had completely shut down the USA economy six months ago, many of those 155 children would still be alive.

Viruses are killers. They don’t care how old you are.
Maybe symptoms take longer to manifest in the young. Maybe their immune systems can kill it. Maybe we’ve believed it only killed “the old” because we’ve heard it 24/7 in the media.
Maybe the lesson again is youth protects you from nothing.

JUST psoriasis?

You mean that auto immune disease that can compromise your body’s self defense system and which if you take those nasty drugs for relieving its symptoms have 4 pages of nasty side effects also compromising your body’s defense system

THAT psoriasis?????

The Portuguese health minister says a 14-year-old boy with COVID-19 has died. The Daily Mail reported that the teenager suffered from psoriasis, but had no major underlying health conditions...

Check this out.

Cant believe they died??? Were they immortal???

We all die! The only issue is-when, and that’s up to a greater force to decide!

which is it?

OAN Newsroom
UPDATED 7:00 PM PT — Friday, March 27, 2020
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the health specialist on the coronavirus task force, has said the virus’s mortality rate is closer to that of a bad case of the flu. In a Thursday report published by the New England Journal of Medicine, Fauci conceded COVID-19’s death rate was twice that of the common flu, making it roughly 0.28 percent.

That rate is exceptionally low, especially when compared to that of the SARS and MERS epidemics, which peaked at 9 percent and 36 percent respectively.

His latest comments marked a major about-face for Fauci, who previously claimed the coronavirus was 10 times as deadly as the flu.

“The seasonal flu that we deal with every year has a mortality of 0.1 percent,” he said. “I think if you count all the cases of minimally symptomatic or asymptomatic infection, that probably brings the mortality rate down to somewhere around 1 percent, which means it is 10 times more lethal than the seasonal flu.”

there is absolutely an underlying health issue if someone has psoriasis. That’s a sign your liver isn’t working properly

How does (or not) the immuno effects of psoriasis relate to susceptibility to the pulmonary effects of corona virus?

Psoriasis is caused by an immune system having an overreaction. The same kind of overreaction can happen in your lungs as a reaction to the virus.

Conversely psoriasis ointment lowers the reactions of your immune system, at least in the areas that you apply it.

I would think either way could cause a problem.

If the kid had psoriasis, which is an autoimmune disorder, which is treated (these days) with immuno-suppressors, then that would explain why he couldn't fight it, because the very treatment itself is designed to knock down your immune system. It's the overactive immune system that's creating skin at 7 times the normal rate ... hence the plaque-ing and red scaly patches. Other than the immune system thinking it needs to go into hyperdrive to fix a wound that doesn't exist ... well psoriasis is nothing OTHER than that. Hence the treatment that seems to work best is one that turns down the immune system. One of the risks is ... that your immune system is compromised.

I don't know if he was being treated with a suppressor -> less serious cases just use topical steroids. But this is not a time in the world's history where you would choose to be on an immune system suppressor.

The blood pressure correlation is possibly related to people, like me, taking ACE inhibitors like lorsatan and lisinopril. They open up the AC cells and the virus has an esdier path to the lungs.
