In an interview Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the White House's delayed response to the coronavirus pandemic cost American lives.
"The president, his denial at the beginning was deadly," she told CNN's Jake Tapper. "His delaying of getting equipment to where it continued -- his continued delay in getting equipment to where its needed is deadly. ...

Tapper asked: "Are you saying his downplaying ultimately cost American lives?"
"Yes, I am," Pelosi replied.
Pelosi also hinted there would be an investigation into the administration's handling of the pandemic once things go back to normal.
"I don't know what the scientists said to him," Pelosi stated. "When did this president know about this, and what did he know? What did he know and when did he know it? That's for an after-action review."
"But as the president fiddles, people are dying. We just have to take every precaution."

CHICAGO has the GOOD roads.
Thank goodness we had the MSM to really escalate the drama.
FDA dragging its feet, again
The Columbus Dispatch ^ | 3/29/2020 | Marty Schladen
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Sunday said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration was reckless for sharply limiting the number of protective masks Columbus-based research firm Battelle can sterilize using a process it developed.
How Government Red Tape Stymied Testing and Made the Coronavirus Epidemic Worse
Reason Magazine ^ | March 11 2020 | Ronald Bailey
“... officials at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) stymied private and academic development of diagnostic tests that might have provided an early warning and a head start on controlling the epidemic that is now spreading across the country.”
Better hurry up with this new investigation Nancy, your gavel-wielding days are dwindling. Tick-tock, tick-tock.
Hearings won't be held in the near future because of social distancing issues, etc.
How Conveeeeeeeenient.
It is apparent to me that both the house and senate had no plans to deal with issues like CV. Total fail...
And the so-called “Center for Disease Control”, they had ONE JOB!
Might have.
Yes, might have. But there is nothing MIGHT about their testing screw-ups. That DID happen. CDC forbade local and state labs from developing tests. The labs were ONLY allowed to use one centralized CDC test - and then that test was f—k-ed up. Typical big government arrogance and incompetence.
Yeah, Nancy. Skin that smokewagon and see what happens.
Another witch hunt...who the heck cares.
>>>> A new strain of virus genetically modified in wuhan is supposed to have test kits developed overnight.
Some citizen’s views of reality are vastly distorted. <<<<
I am with you on that view.
Blaming Trump for it or be angry at Trump (family member can’t get tested) has the same idea as expecting Obama the “Magic Negro” doing his Jedi mind trick to pay for their monthly rent.
However, when normal citizens with symptoms can’t get tested, while healthy-looking individual ‘celebrities’ and anybody ‘who’s who’ had been tested (and turned out negative). This smack of elitism and our two-tier system in society. ===> However, you still can’t pin it on Trump, though.
