Dead on. The Dems have been falling all over themselves with Cuomo’s daily press briefings and have been looking for a “white knight” to replace Joe. Joe’s only purpose was to keep Bernie at bay and he’s done that. Now it’s time for Joe to ride off into the sunset and a new contender to come forward.
I think the Dems were blindsided when Joe went off-script and committed to naming a female VP. Everyone assumed it would be Hillary (again).
With the Coronavirus crisis, Cuomo has emerged as someone the Dems think can take on Trump. He’s far-left with his abortion and immigration policies, the media likes him and I would bet, he polls well with suburban women. He isn’t as abrasive as Bloomberg was and his brother works at CNN. He fills in all the boxes.
Look for another Biden family tragedy to occur in the middle of the summer and Joe bowing out, leaving a brokered convention.
Anyone who thinks Cuomo can take on Trump in flyover country needs to be carted off to the nut house.
