I don’t think they’d put Michelle up against Trump. Having her lose to Trump would severely damage her brand. If she runs it will be the next election.
And outside of visits to Ellen or Oprah, what clear policy goals has she ever articulated on any subject of importance? She’s never held an executive position, nor has she held public office. In the private sector, she hasn’t done anything noteworthy.
They’d need more time to get her ready if she were to run but I think she’s happier dining on fine foods, world travel, and inserting herself into the celebrity culture.
Everybody thought that Howard Dean was a lock, too.
Andy Cuomo has some old skeletons in his closet. You may be right though, with DNC strategists figuring that the corona virus emergency would distract the public from Cuomo’s defects.
Cuomo is terrified right now. What you see as 'presidential' is fear.
For the first time in his political career he's looking at a crisis that could end his political ambitions. He's never had to deal with something like this, something he's powerless to control. IF the worst case predictions come true about the epidemic Cuomo will officiate at his own political funeral.
There's no way he can run for president and manage this health emergency. He would be seen as abandoning New Yorkers. Who would look worse to voters? Trump or Cuomo who left to campaign for president? Who would fill in for him? Can you name is second in command? Are they seen as capable of seizing the reins in this health emergency?
The only way for this to work is a miracle. Meaning Cuomo would have to find the cure himself.
Democrat leaders want Biden. You may not believe it but THEY believe he's their best shot. The only question is can Biden make it to the election.
He might be nominated but he will never win.

Trump’s economy is getting hammered. The people are being lied to about the dramabug and he’s going along with it. Businesses are forced to close and are going out of business. People are under martial law to stay indoors, not go to work, and obey curfews. Unemployment will easily be well past 20% within 30 days. Trump’s debt spending has now exceeded Obama’s debt spending and he already needs more.
By July at the democrat convention, Hillary will be able to waltz in and take the democrat nomination and win. She’s been preparing for that and she’s a 2020 registered candidate.
