South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore have all basically beaten this virus with none of the draconian measures of Italy or America.
The Diamond Princess cruise ship... basically a floating petri dish of old people...had about a 20% infection rate and seven deaths (all elderly) out of 3,700 passengers.
A death rate not even on par with the flu.
That's the $64 dollar question.
This thing may be so bad "they" don't want to really tell us and really scare us. Recall reports of bodies being cremated in China. I really don't trust any reports of the Chicoms.
Now, if it really isn't any worse than H1N1.....what's the driver?
Trump doesn't seem to be the dictator type we'd see in Bammy or Barry or Shillary. I really think their response would be far more damaging to the country long term than this response.

I live stream it daily (or watch it on YouTube later) and then I shut the TV off for the rest of the day. All the rest of the mindless chatter on the news channels is just noise.
I had a very pleasant experience grocery shopping this morning in Southern Connecticut. Trucks were lining up for the loading docks and employees had boxes stacked up in all aisles, with a massive re-stocking operation in progress. Even TP was available. Further, the employees and customers were all cheerful and making the best of the situation.
It was good to see that our supply chain remains strong - thanks in large part to all the truckers on the roads.
I do not agree with the "shut-down" that the states (all Democrat run) are putting in place, including here in CT, but when this is all over, I have no doubt that America will bounce back stronger than ever.
So how do we shut up the treacherous media? The panic is the product of media disinformation and negative naybobbery designed to effect the crash of the American economy. Who is the author of this push and how do we the people defeat this insidious evil? There is an underlying reason for this ‘marshall law’ campaign. Where is this sheeple herding aimed to arrive? A vaccine with an accompanying ‘info dot in the skin is planned for our near future. Guess where it leapfrogs from there? Got cash? Filthy stuu! /sarcasm
