They don’t want to implement Internet Classes as that would reduce the power of the Uber Liberal Education Elite.
Once that Pandora Box is opened, everyone will ask “What do we need these expensive Universities when everything can be done on-line?”
Actually, they just did the world a favor. Let those lib dbags go infest their own home towns instead of mine.
Where will the always offended snow flakes gather to protest everything from fresh air to sunlight?
They ought to at least grant a partial refund. Professors can’t all of a sudden turn on a dime and take a course they developed to be taught in person and translate it to an internet format without significant loss of quality.
And some classes, such as lab-based science classes, really cannot be taught via internet at all.

Some of us have posted about the possibility of COVID2019 being the end of many if not all schools in a building.
Think of the money that will be saved if and when schools close down and used online capabilities.
We have a semi retired friend who put a major MBA program on the internet. He has been grinning like the Cheshire cat since this virus showed up in America.

These hysterics are unwarranted! We are witnessing mass hysteria, despite the facts that only 4,091 have died so far from COVID-19, and most are recovering!
Just like influenza. Coronavirus cases will be dropping (and they’ve already begun) in the next month or so!
Everyone forgets the labs. This is the chink in home school armor.

It’s difficult to teach a course in Instrumental Analysis at home. The equipment is a bit expensive.

Guess they will have to set up a virtual Black Student Union on facebook to congregate at so they can whine about how society dun them wrong.
Colleges already have extensive labs, home schools do not. Some subjects cannot be taught without a lab. Chemistry labs require a lot of expensive glassware and chemicals. Those pale when compared to machine shops and other such facilities. Ever wondered how much the instrumentation in a well equipped electronics lab costs? All of that is required to teach those courses.
I have investigated setting up lab facilities in a similar vein to "maker spaces". Nobody is interested in helping. Space for those facilities is expensive as is the equipment needed. I can't even get home school folks to respond to be regarding setting up such a shared facility.
Nope, colleges are here to stay.
