Posted on 03/06/2020 5:55:00 PM PST by bitt
Former British spy and author of the junk Trump-Russia dossier, Christopher Steele, defended his unconfirmed trash report on candidate Donald Trump. The former British spy inflicted upon America the Russia scam that derailed the Trump administration for three years.
Steele, who spoke at Oxford University today, says he will not cooperate with William Barr and John Durham. There is currently a criminal referral on Steele for lying to congressional investigaters.
The Daily Caller reported:
I stand by the integrity of our work, our sources and what we did, Steele said at the Oxford Student Union.
Steeles glowing self-assessment is in stark contrast to the findings of the special counsels investigation and a Justice Department inspector generals report on the FBIs surveillance of Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
The FBI relied heavily on Steeles information to obtain four warrants to wiretap Page. The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) blasted the FBI in the wake of the inspector generals report, accusing the bureau of submitting false and misleading information related to Page, Steele, and the dossier.
The report found that the FBI was unable to corroborate Steeles allegations regarding Page or other Trump associates. It also said that Steeles only direct source for information disputed much of what was in the dossier.
The Steele sources interviews with the FBI in early 2017 raised doubts about the reliability of Steeles descriptions of information in his election reports, according to the report.

Send him to Gitmo!
It ain’t waterboardin’ if ya use Diesel!
Waterboard that prick!
This person needs a DOJ arrest warrant, or he can make his way with his council and answer questions. I dont care what he chooses, but his actions, as a foreign agent, constitute an act of war by interfering in a US election. Since he is former British intelligence it as serious as it gets, IMHO. The information, his contacts with Fusion GPS, information given to him by NSA top secret spy programs via Fusion GPS and the DNC, must be an open book.
Can we put an international fatwa on that POS? BEST PRACTICES of justice systems BUMP!
My God, durham hasn’t spoke with steel yet? This investigation is a joke.
It’s either the most airtight investigation ever or he’s a another Great Pumpkin like Huber and the IG.
He is so confident in his work he won’t defend it under oath. lol
Daily Beast was at the Oxford Union!
note how their final paragraph gives the impression Steele was with FusionGPS when Republicans hired them to do opposition research. read it all for more quotes:
6 Mar: Daily Beast: Christopher Steele Whacks Mueller Report and Bad Faith Team Trump
Out of the Shadows: The former head of MI6s Russia desk was speaking publicly for the first time since his dossier on Trumps relationship with Russia was published in 2017.
by Nick Mutch
OXFORD, England: ...Speaking to students at Oxford University in England, he described the probe into Russian interference as having failed to do any drilling down into financial networks and leverage, which he said was the way Russian influence works.
His appearance at the Oxford Union, a 200-year-old debating society, was held in private but attended by The Daily Beast...
(final paragraph) Many Republicans, led by President Trump, have alleged political bias in Steeles work because his research company was hired by American firm Fusion GPS, which had been conducting opposition research on Trump on behalf of his Republican primary challengers. The Clinton campaign later picked up the tab. Steele dismissed the allegations of bias, describing himself as simply an opponent of President Putin.
SOB needs to be taken out like last weeks garbage.
check the “sources” rubbish Hosenball has written:
6 Mar: Reuters: Trump ‘dossier’ author Christopher Steele rejects prosecutor’s interview request
By Mark Hosenball
The former British intelligence officer who produced a ‘dossier’ linking Donald Trump and his presidential campaign to Russia has declined to give an interview to a prosecutor assigned by U.S. Attorney General William Barr to investigate aspects of the 2016 U.S. campaign, three sources familiar with the matter said...
Steele’s representatives told Durham’s team that the former officer for Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service, also known as MI6, was not interested in cooperating with Durham’s investigation and would not speak to his team, the sources said. Steele was concerned that Durham’s investigation was overly politicized and he would not be treated fairly, the sources said...
Some of those targeted by Durham, including senior former aides to President Barack Obama who raised questions about Trump’s connections to Russia before the 2016 election, have expressed concern the probe could be used to retaliate against them...
The investigation into Trump and his campaign’s contacts with Russia conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller found there was not sufficient evidence to prove that Trump’s 2016 campaign coordinated with Russia to influence the 2016 presidential election...

like Hosenball/Reuters, the UK Times newspaper (owned by Murdoch) refers to Trump’s “links” with Russia as if they are a fact. article behind paywall:
Huawei is wrong choice, says former spy Christopher Steele
International - The Times (UK) - 2 hours ago
The former British spy who wrote the intelligence dossier that helped to start the investigation into President Trump’s links with Russia said that
I admit I dont know everything about it, but why would Steele fear anything, unless we can extradite him? Isnt the chances of that, between slim and none?
The UK is a signatory to the Hague Service Convention. We can serve the expletive-deleted.
The Brits must force him to testify under oath.
