I know the story about the adopted children that Roberts has. But there was also a flight log floating around for Epstein Island that appeared to have Roberts name on it.
It is very difficult to arrest a sitting member of Congress. All he need do is utter the words, “I’m on my way to a committee meeting”. Worked for Rep. Kennedy (D) at 2 in the morning as I recall.
There is an historical reason—the king detained members of Parliament so he could win a vote. The Founders remembered their history and pretty much said the executive branch has to keep hands off of members of the legislative branch. I know there can be exceptions and I’d love to see the Chuckster in handcuffs, it isn’t likely to happen.
