And most of those retail clerks are uninsured, by the way.
Government might have to step in and offer testing free.
Health insurance companies could be stressed by this. And I bet they have reinsurance with the government. So it makes sense for government to prevent as much healthcare expense as the can. And not by denying care, but by preventing spread.
Thank you for the article. I read through it quickly and will read it again. I know several people who work in retail, some of them for the biggest retail corporation with thousands of stores in the U.S. and some for smaller corporations with fewer stores. There have been no preparations or briefings for employees. Employees are fearfully quiet and know that they must not mention the epidemic at all. Administrators in management, involved in the big fight over insurance as everyone else, have fought against most serious injury claims for years.
...which brings us back to the possibility that stores will be some of the most dangerous places during an epidemic. That’s why I’ve been telling people to stock up. I’m not hurting the markets by doing so. Factory closings and supply shortages in Asia have more to do with that.
The liability threats in that article are a strong incentive for any employer that can close their premises without crippling their business to do so—as soon as there are just a few confirmed cases in their area.
Otherwise the lawsuits could get very nasty—win or lose.
And no, I’m not in favor of nationalized medical care. Abolition of special insurance packages for collectives would be wiser. The same goes for Medicare and Social Security. The formulas favor special interests, and there are disability frauds all over the place (addicts, con artists,...).
Go hump your Pandas somewhere else, troll-boi.
They only have 28 BL-3+ beds.
My theory is that they own lots of stock that is going down in value.
lmao
I read one article that said the virus only insects Asians but have not heard if this has been verified. Of all the Americans infected are they of Asian dissent does anybody know
Ray-ciss much? Referring to the locust infestation which has reached China? Typo?
but have not heard if this has been verified.
Of all the Americans infected are they of Asian dissent does anybody know
No, they don't mind Asians, but the Chicoms themselves don't like dissent.
Just *kidding*.
Apparently there is now evidence (not proof) of limited community transmission in Washington State: but those infected by the index case, might still *happen* to be of Asian descent.
From the site; note the last section-
“...or that the employer has developed a response plan that will reasonably protect the employee from exposure to the disease.”:
Context of the above section:
“Because of the significant health hazards associated with this disease, it is possible that an employee could refuse to work because s/he believes that his/her health is in imminent danger at the workplace due to the actual presence or reasonable probability of the disease at the workplace. An employee who make such a complaint is engaging in protected activity under Section 11(c) of the Act and is not subject to adverse action by the employer for refusal to work until the employer can establish through objective evidence that there is no hazard or that the employer has developed a response plan that will reasonably protect the employee from exposure to the disease.”
I hate to agree with blam, but I do not like the steaks at Outback either. I'm going to Ruth's Chris.
I assume that's why he upset at you.
Watched a previous video of his. A bit long and over repetitive.
“In two months C19 will tap out due to weather”
Or morph into the Solanum virus which at that point it won’t matter what you stock up on ... we’ll all be done for.
The professionals have a record of making money off it. This one is a professional.
