Listen friend...I am not the one who used the word pandemic on this thread...You did...
I did not say there was only one case...I merely found one when you said there were none...
I was merely correcting your error. For one wanting facts, I would think you would appreciate the correction.
Oh and I don’t need to look up epidemic or pandemic— I live with someone who is doing graduate work in infectious disease/infection control and works at a microbiology testing lab for a group of hospitals.
Point taken
Breaking down the wall with facts not hyperbole is a very important thing.
Indeed you have not used the terms mentioned as many others here on FR have
1 in India is hardly anything to get excited about, I find it interesting that in that country it has not taken hold. If it were to be doing so I consider that an important data point. Mapping occurrences and populations presents important demographic and cultural issues as potential elements in the progression of the infections in both scale and strength.
Overall anyone as in the media banging the “Pandemic” drum has a purpose for doing so, and I applaud you for not doing so. As you live with someone who understands the discipline involved in zeroing in on the nature of the disease and potential means and models by which it might spread or be contained and other aspects
I apologize for using the words as I see them so frequently being used by others here on FR as well as the media.
My personal view in the aggregate is that in fact this will never turn into that which many others seem to hope it will for reasons that will make themselves clear as time progresses. Thank you for an intelligent and well reasoned response
