Hewitt is one of, if not the only remaining best at even handed interviews. That said he is also totally an entrenched beltway loyalist. He shows whenever the question involves US military action or funding. Like the deep staters he believes in, he falls into every Washington DC group think trend openly before his flyover fans can correct him. Eventually, like his never Trumper conversion.
He has a tendency to jump on pandemics as a holier than thou DC insider, issuing dire warnings to those of us who use common sense instead of standard issue media lawyers and doctors to point out the truth.

I can't stand Hewitt. I used to listen to his radio show when I drove alone. Even though he was a pretentious RINO, I thought he had interesting guests. He has been a Romney-bot from the get-go. Now that I drive/ride in a carpool, I no longer listen to him.
Regarding the comment that Hugh Hewitt loves Chuck Todd. I have heard evidence of that. I’ve also heard about Hewitt’s admiration of Jake Tapper.
The day I decided to vote for our President Trump was the day Hewitt had Trump on his show and Hewitt ambushed President Trump with questions about the Naval Triad strategy. The intent was to embarrass Trump. At the same time as trying to make Trump look unprepared Hewitt was, of course, trying to make himself look brilliant. Trump would have none of it and slapped Hewitt down strongly. Trump said he would master the Triad topic and any other topics when the time came. Just like he has done his entire life. From that moment on I was sold on Trump and quit wasting time on Hewitt.
