I think Ms. Jones may be reading too much into Gunst's and Alford's use of her clever phrase. It isn't necessarily a race based appropriation of her idea, just the plain old rip off and capitalization on an idea by a publisher.

It really isn't plausible to believe the authors never googled the title of their book and ran into Ms. Jones' web and Instagram presence. It is more likely that they admired the idea and thought, along with their publisher "how can we make money off of that idea" and went ahead and did so.

Not crediting or involving Ms. Jones isn't necessarily an example of racism, but it is probably a great example of corporate publishers making money.
