If the coronavirus is spreading this rapidly among hospital workers, what chance do the rest of us have? What we are witnessing in China right now is absolutely unprecedented. Despite the lockdown of major city after major city, this mysterious new coronavirus continues to spread like wildfire, and Chinese government officials are becoming visibly frustrated. The number of confirmed cases has nearly doubled over the past seven days, and that is extremely concerning. But even more alarming is the unofficial information which has been leaking out of China. According to the South China Morning Post, “at least 500 hospital staff in Wuhan” have now been infected…
At least 500 hospital staff in Wuhan had been infected with the deadly new strain of coronavirus by mid January, multiple medical sources have confirmed, leaving hospitals short-staffed and causing deep concern among health care workers.
While the government has reported individual cases of health care workers becoming infected, it has not provided the full picture, and the sources said doctors and nurses had been told not to make the total public.
There have been numerous reports that indicate there isn’t enough equipment to sufficiently protect medical personnel in Wuhan, and that is probably the biggest reason why this number is so high.

Unless the mortality rate comes up a lot I just cant all that scared of this virus. The regular flu has much higher kill rate.

I highly recommend the War Room: Pandemic interviews. Steve Bannon is having some of the leading doctors/scientists on, talking about the virus, its spread, what is really happening in China, how it affects our national security, etc. I personally think it’s the best info available, coming from folks who work in the field (virus hunters, etc.), not the Fake News reporter/reporterettes spinning a narrative. Episode 17 was today.
I’ve seen the 1700 number too. Not sure if that is Wuhan, Hubei province, or all of China.
There was a Tokyo doctor diagnosed with it. He had come down with a fever and continued to see patients for 3 days after developing the fever. No telling how many he infected.
There is also now a person infected in Japan who rode in the cab of the taxi driver who got infected. So how many more passengers?
I think Japan and Singapore are on the verge of losing control, if they haven’t already.
Hong Kong too, but they’re so tied to the China, that’s to be expected. Medical workers had to strike to get them to close the border, and then they wouldn’t close it completely.
India is a powder keg waiting to blow because of population density. They’ve only had 5 cases (5 sparks) but it only takes one that ignites.
And the US is predicting to see outbreaks in 2 to 4 weeks, due to travelers carrying the illness that aren’t caught. So basically the Month of March.

If there’s a sudden virus surge in U.S. universities, the dots will be easy to connect.
But, of course, Fake News will bury the evidence as “ racist “.

As of last week, not a single death reported in westernized nation....all of the deaths were noted in China or third-world countries. Even that one American who died...he was in China.
Exponential can mean a lot of things. Half a percent growth every thousand years is exponential. This is another article designed to scare people.
Fake news is a bit harsh. Do expect to get accurate numbers at this point.

Their economy is shutting down. That doesn’t happen with routine flu. Hard indicators free of CCP propaganda such as reduced coal usage, lower pollution (except increased S02 discharges from Wuhan area), less traffic in Beijing and Shanghai on Tom Tom.

I agree. They have 1.4 billion people and the virus is pretty wide spread so we know there are many more dead than they’re saying.
