Steve Lookner at his Agenda-Free TV channel does the most detailed updates in the growing Coronavirus outbreak of probably any site on the web. He has been covering it since its early stages in January. Yesterday, while watching for his latest update which usually comes a little after 5 PM EST, it was noticeably delayed. In fact, it was the longest delay ever at one hour and forty-five minutes late.
I happened to be watching when Steve finally got the update and it was quite a dramatic moment as you can see due to the big spike in the number of cases reported yesterday, February 12, of almost 15,000 new Coronavirus cases.
I thought you might be interested in seeing Lookner's reaction to that jump when it he first saw it. I highly recommend you subscribe to Agenda-Free TV not only to get detailed analysis about the Coronavirus but other news events as well such as fires, storms, and election results among many other events.
You don’t have to be PC to report most breaking news. His reporting on events such as the boys rescued from the caves in Thailand was wonderful. Also, he doesn’t really report on politics much.

There was no surge in cases, just a change of definition that finally started counting (some of) those infected but not formally diagnosed as being officially infected.
It’s like with murder...if they suddenly changed the definition to include those who suspiciously died whilst having dirt on Hillary Clinton, the numbers would leap...but nothing would have actually changed.

I had to laugh so hard when he saw those numbers. I’m a mod for his Periscope site and he is he most accurate and most agenda free reporter on the air! Thanks for posting this for him!

Small world! BTW, I am watching him now but the numbers from Hubei province have still not been posted. They did an update just now but only posted a bunch of Communist Party propaganda. No virus number updates. ANOTHER day with delayed stats.

Kinda the look on my face when I saw the numbers. LOL! Then he talked about the new criteria they’re using in Hubei Province and it wasn’t quite as shocking.
We’ll still never know the true numbers though.
If they ever do a ‘Calvin and Hobbs’ movie Lookner should be Calvin’s dad.
It’s very frustrating when you’re trying to report the results. He was on for nearly 12 hours yesterday. I finally had to give up before he shut down at about 3:30am. I don’t know how he talks for that long without losing his voice!

BTW...did you know that he used to be a writer for Seinfeld, SNL and MadTV? And has written parody books? He’s had a colorful life for someone his age. And he has a passion for breaking news. That’s how he got into this business.
I know huh. It was a shock to see the numbers change that much. And you’re right. Those numbers are still too low. Especially the 312 for the rest of China? Gimme a break!
