Former Vice President Joe Biden after his pair of devastating losses tried to reassure supporters on an evening call Wednesday that things havent changed and that theres been no dropoff in our endorsers.
Arguing that the primary is still wide open, Biden said he was "confident we can win South Carolina. I think we'll win Nevada, but it is a caucus which is a little bit different, according to a recording of the roughly 13-minute call obtained by POLITICO.
Biden has long said he would perform better than his rivals once the primary reached more diverse states, particularly South Carolina. His campaign sees that state as a "launching pad" to Super Tuesday success.
But a looming Mike Bloomberg and poor showings compared to other fellow moderates Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar in the first two states has Biden's campaign on edge.
"The point is that, I want you to know [is] that things haven't changed in terms of responses we're getting, in terms of whether it's contributions online or whether it's endorsements since both of those primaries have taken place,"he said.
Biden said he has raised more than $4 million online in the first 11 days of this month, including $453,000 online on Tuesday.
So my point is that we've not seen any diminution in the energy or in endorsements, he added.
Biden said he made clear to attendees at his South Carolina event Tuesday, which he left New Hampshire to attend, that the race is just beginning and we're not anywhere near the end.
I'll be damned if we're gonna lose this nomination, particularly if we're gonna lose this nomination and end up losing an election to Donald Trump, Biden said on the call, adding that hes not sugarcoating his chances and that he feels really good.

He needs to start attacking mini Mike with a vengeance.
Biden looking to win via the Corn Pop vote!
Unfortunately, polling is showing his support from black citizens is cratering in South Carolina
If we give Donald Trump four more years in the White House, he will fundamentally alter the character of this nation. We cant stand by and let that happen. pic.twitter.com/yu71fRAXgl— Joe Biden (Text Join to 30330) (@JoeBiden) February 13, 2020
Let me be clear: the fight to end Donald Trump's presidency is just beginning. pic.twitter.com/U7YzD9rnW0— Joe Biden (Text Join to 30330) (@JoeBiden) February 13, 2020
Malarkey!

Is that US dollars or Ukrainian?
The Boston Herald poll ending on FEB 1 had you comfortably in 2nd place in New Hampshire, at 24% to Bernie's expected 31%.
On FEB 11, you finished NH in 5th place, with 8%.
Now I can see your optimism for South Carolina, where you've been polling in 1st place with a solid 36% on the Fox News poll ending on JAN 8, and with 37% on the most recent poll (East Carolina Univ, ending on FEB 2)... bolstered by the fact that you think you're big with the black community (SC is 30% black), and all of the other big-name minority candidates are now out of the race... but with Mayor Pete and Amy Klobuchar making big gains recently (who were only at 4% and 2% respectively on that same FEB 2 ECU poll), you might just have a closer run than you think on FEB 29 in SC...
and you have to survive Nevada first. Your 6 point lead over Bernie in the Fox News poll ending JAN 8 was already gone by JAN 11 with the USA Today poll showing you up by less than 1%. You're trending down everywhere.
Joe, did you really think that kissing Obama’s ass for four years was gonna get you elected?
I want Biden to stay in it so I can hear him use new senseless insults on more voters.
Slo-Joe gets his dander up when a retired Iowa farmer calls him out on his Ukraine problem...Calls him a Damn Liar! At 2:48 he says Look, Fat, Look (Caught himself about to call the guy a fata$$).

When the old farmer doesnt back down, Biden has to move to softball questions from elementary school students.
“He doesn’t know when he’s beaten, this boy, he doesn’t know when he’s winning either. He doesn’t have any sort of sensory apparatus.”
Denial is not a river in Egypt.
He already WAS!
He’s Biden off more than he can chew.
You asked for it, Joe (not that you don’t deserve it in any event).
Dumb as dirt.

No nominee of either party has been 5th in New Hampshire and 4th in Iowa. Going back to 1952, I don’s see a nominee of either party who didn’t come in at least 1st or 2nd in either Iowa or New Hampshire. e.g. Reagan came in 2nd to Bush in 1980 in Iowa but won New Hampshire and there were 6 candidates so full fields are not that unusual.
You can add the rank of the two primaries to get score and sense of how far Biden has fallen, e.g. in Iowa Biden finished 4th, and in New Hampshire 5th so Biden gets a 9.
No nominee of either party has ever had a rank of over 5 or 6. e.g. In Iowa, 1992 with an Iowa Dem Senator running, and sex scandals breaking Bill Clinton finished 3rd or 4th if you count uncommitted, but finished 2nd in New Hampshire so give him a score of 5/6 .
McCain came in a close 4th in Iowa in 2008 and won New Hampshire so a score of 5, these are the highest I have found and note they each came in either 1st or 2nd in one of the two.
Biden might defy history because the country has higher % “people of color” in other states but I don’t think so.
What Biden really said....Gee, I wish I hadn’t done that interview where I was bragging that I got the prosecutor that was going after my son fired. The 6 hour time limit....and the talk about calling Obama....I threw that in for effects.
